Teacher's Pet Dog Training

We have just gotten 2 German Shephard puppies and wanted some help learning how to train them. We've had a lab and golden retriever for many years and they were always great dogs but German Shephard is a different breed and we wanted to make sure they were well trained early on as to not have any issues later on. We signed up for training classes at PetSmart but did not like the ""high pressure"" we felt in signing up and didn't like the space they had available. Called around and I must say in the 15 minutes that Kellie Hanson spent on the phone with me I learned a ton and I REALLY Appreciated the time she spent without feeling any pressure to hire her. Her obvious experience and vast knowledge as well as her kind, caring manner came across immediately and so we did hire her to do a private lesson and were most definitely not disappointed! She was wonderful and very helpful and we hope that we can bring her back again for more advanced training as soon as we get the puppies remembering all that we now have to teach them with the tools she gave us. I was totally overwhelmed and exasperated from trying to train my two Chihuahua-Pekingese dogs. Then, I called Kellie Hanson at Teacher's Pet Dog Training. I was looking for a board-train kind of place that would keep the dogs for 2 or 3 weeks. Just by talking over the phone, Kelly helped me so much. I felt empowered by her advice and suggestions, and began to believe I could actually house train them. That was the real issue anyway -- house-training. She was so helpful and supportive! I will definitely consider her for other training once I get the potty training out of the way. Pros: What a Wonderful sounding person on the phone! more
