I can only review on what I have seen from this company. I have called more than 5 times in the last 3 months regarding the trash pickup for a building they manage in the Ravenswood area. They obviously don?t pay their bills for their HOA since one in March 2011 and again in June 2011 the dumpster for their building has overflowed completely leading to rats and birds dissecting the trash bags. I have called the company on several occasions and give a remark that they have either too many people in the building, others throwing trash in their garbage or the service didn?t pick up. I live on the block the service does pick up, if they had too many people then rent another dumpster, and everyone in the neighborhood has their own dumpsters and throws their garbage in their respective receptacles. Again, I can only review on what I have seen and what I have seen is POOR management of bill paying. more

Hope this will be helpful to future condo associations. Taylor Management is the worst property management company I have worked with. They are not only non-professional, but they are lame and unruly. They have been managing our condo association for past two years and during these two years they have do nothing but making sure THEYget paid. They lacked everything from service to common courtesy. Even though they are suppose to do property maintenance every two weeks, there has been weeks and months sometimes even before anyone comes by. We had light-bulbs that have gone out but they never replaced. When we called them about that to complain, they said they will take care of it ""today"" but a week goes by and it is still not fixed. We finally got fed up and replaced the bulbs ourselves. This is not an example of only one occurrence but this has been their behavior past 2 years. Pros: Nothing at all Cons: Everything more

My experience with Taylor Management has been very good. They have managed our condominium association in Chicago for 3 years. During that time they have been generally very responsive and worked hard to address the needs of our association members. We switched to Taylor Management after using several other companies that charged almost double for the same services. Pros: Affordable Price and Good Service more

B. Taylor Hogan is a con man and Taylor Management Consultants will start out appearing responsible then stop giving you any service whatsoever, meanwhile will most likely be fake billing and stealing your hard earned money. Stay away from them and please report all problems to the governmental authorities, the State's Attorneys office and file police reports when approrpriate. Cons: Thumbs way down more

Being a new condo owner in Chicago, I struggled with the decision of turning over our HOA and paying money to do so. After fielding questions that we as a Board did not have the knowledge to answer however, we decided after interviewing a few companies to hire Taylor Management to run our HOA. When we first spoke to Taylor, we were promised that they would handle the Developer that we were fighting with over projects not completed and that they would run our HOA as we had desired; efficiently, professionally and with little participation needed by the Directors. After 4 months of supervising to a level that we felt was extensive on our part as a Board, we decided to call in frustration and give once again our expectations. They had WRITTEN CHECK FROM OUR ACCOUNTS WITHOUT APPROVAL, not dealt with issues that we had asked them to and LOST PAYMENTS AND CRUCIAL PAPERWORK. At one point our insurer called for basic paperwork and was told that was lost also. They then fired US as an HOA, claiming we were to demanding. We had such a horrible experience that we again started interviewing and found a great company in HALES PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. I'm writing this in the hopes that other condos are not sucked into the trap that is ""Taylor Management."" I owned a condo in a small, self-managed building that recently hired Taylor to take over management duties. The list of complaints goes on for miles and they've only been servicing our building for six months! Taylor will be happy to tell the board and the condo ass'n that it's handling very important issues such as insurance and city citations but does absolutely nothing to follow through! Case in point: I recently tried to close on the sale of my condo. After several weeks of contacting Taylor for the disclosure documents by me, my attorney and agent, Taylor forwards an incomplete disclosure that didn't include the ""statements"" that were noted and the infor that was provided was completely inaccurate. Taylor took it upon itself to draw legal conclusions that placed the sale of my condo in jeopardy without anything to back up its statements. When my attorney and realtor got ever-changing information from Taylor, I picked up the phone. Even though Taylor had represented to my attorney that there was a monster assessment against each of certain unit owners, it had not even contacted any contractors to look at the work. Furthermore, no vote on who was responsible for the costs was ever taken. Taylor told me on the phone that the 2 quotes were ""mis-saved."" Needless to say, those quotes never came. In fact, 1 week later and the night before the scheduled closing, Taylor called my realtor to have him meet the first of 5 contractors that had been scheduled within the week! Taylor was sitting on the problem for nearly 6 months at this point! I'm not even sure if a contractor was ever there since my realtor got to the building 5 minutes after the call and no one was there but, because the closing was the next day, I had to go with the info I had and re-negotiate with the seller. Also overcharged for the closing docs. No returned phone calls--ever. Pros: Hmmm...So bad at covering up mistakes, it's obvious? Cons: No returned calls, false/incomplete disclosures/info, blatantly ""covers up"" mistakes more
