I chose Tavola to cater my business event because they were responsive, affordable and easy to work with. From the get go they didn't hesitate to get me sample menus, with price ranges so we had choices. I had to find menus and prices from three different caterers, and Tavola was hands down the favorite in price and food selection. more

Affordable, Elegant and Thoughtful 10/26/2010

The food and presentation were fabulous. We had to please a vegetarian and a meat-eater while keeping things local. I loved their lavender-peach salad! We had some picky guests at our wedding and keep getting rave reviews on the food and service from Tavola. more

Incredible food, wonderful to work with 8/23/2010

Jason and the wonderful staff at Tavola recently lent their talents to a charity benefit/auction that I organize. Not only was the food incredible, (I kept going back for more) but the staff is fun, friendly and knowledgeable. A true joy to work with. They arrived early and were well organized. The presentation was beautiful and guests raved about the food which included goat cheese bruschetta and gazpacho with candied bacon. I will be using Tavola again in the future and highly recommend Jason and his team to anyone looking for wonderful local food and fantastic service. more

Delicious Mediterranean food in the Portland Metro Area 5/19/2010

Jason?s team catered our team building event. This included directors and managers that are seasoned travelers who pride themselves on trying new great quality ethnic foods?and spreading the word to others for future events. Jason listened to my concerns around healthy eating, accommodating vegetarians and picky eaters and also staying within our allotted budget. He promptly tailored a menu to fit our needs and also took the time to explain what each dish was, and what ingredients would be used. The food was nicely presented and they included everything we needed to get this group fed quickly. Many commented on what a lovely choice I made and how delicious the food was. This is the first time we?ve catered Mediterranean food at one of our events, and it definitely won?t be the last! We will be going back to Tavola again, in hopes of trying all of the wonderful dishes they have to offer. Thanks again Jason & Team! Delicious food - Flexible and Professional Service 4/21/2010

I would HIGHLY recommend using Tavola to cater small or large events. Jason and his team do a wonderful job of creating foods that fit our event, even on short notice. Their food is absolutely delicious and always beautifully presented. We greatly appreciate Jason using fresh, local foods and his ability to change his menu fit seasonal choices. We have used Jason for both personal and professional events now for a few years and we have never been disappointed. Thank you Jason! Jason at Tavola is someone who is truly talented when it comes to food. Tavola's food is always seasonal, local, and fresh. They go out of their way to create, not only delicious tasting food, but they always deliver an aesthetic masterpiece. European-style food - Excellent service 12/8/2009

From the ordering stage to the final wrap-up and pick-up of the serving implements, Jason and his team go the distance. They are smart and experienced. They listen to their customers, and are able to understand their preferences, likes and dislikes. The lasagnas were absolutely excellent, they garnered rave reviews. We are Europeans and had a few Europeans among our guests. Everyone loved the food. Pros: Food artfully prepared, served fresh Cons: None! more

With Tavola Catering ...Your in good hands relax and enyoy! 10/15/2009

We contacted Jason to discuss his company catering a 50-60 person sit down dinner for our September garden wedding at our home. Jason graciously agreed to come over to hear what we had in mind and to walk us through what would be involved to plan a catered event in a medium-sized house versus a large open-room venue. His expertise, professionalism, patience and attention to detail was invaluable to the success of our event. For example, Jason suggested plating the salads to add a nice tough to a buffet dinner and also minimizing the buffet line. He was also very helpful in the selection of our menu taking into consideration budget, which foods worked well together and logistically for our situation. Jason brought his staff to the house well in advance to walk them through the logistics to ensure they understood when and how everthing would unfold for the dinner. We even had some unexpected guests drop in and Jason's staff didn't miss a beat. They stepped in and took care of everthing so the event came off seamlessly. We got rave reviews from our guests for the service and the food. Pros: Attention to detail, Great Food, Discreet Staff Cons: None more

Really impressed me 9/9/2009

I am a food snob and was concerned about ordering food for a 40-th birthday party from a place I had never tried. The quality of the food exceeded all my expectations--gourmet, varied, delicious. The service was awesome too. Jason took care of all the coordination with the rentals, was very accommodating with my multiple last-minute changes and additions (on both food and rentals), and generally was very helpful. He even advised me when he thought I was ordering too much food. The event turned out great--everyone raved about the food and I was happy was the service, which allowed me to relax and have fun at the party. Highly recommend!!! Best catered lunch we've had at the office 5/15/2009

We had our first taste of Tavola as a gift lunch for our office from a vendor. The next time we did a lunch meeting Tavola was our first choice. Jason was very helpful and flexible so that I could stay within my budget (very important right now). Our whole staff raved! There were NO leftovers. The cookie bars were amazing and the guys LOVED the wings! We will definitely use Tavola again. Thanks! Pros: Professional, flexable, yummy! more

Professional, Accomodating, Wonderful Treat!! 3/4/2009

I was referred to Jason at Tavola Catering by another caterer (other too busy and I was late in the season). I was looking for a professional caterer to handle clients lunch. We are based in another state. He was very professional and amazingly accommodating. The day before lunch was to be delivered, Portland had record snow! Streets were closed, businesses we shut down... Jason called and said he would still deliver the food if needed... Our client was closed. Soon enough lunch was finally made on a better date. Our client said it was a wonderful treat. They even sent us pictures for us to drool over. Looked FABULOUS! Well worth the wait. I will definitely be using his services again. more

Exceptional Caterer 3/2/2009

We contacted Jason for a sit down dinner party in our home and from the planning, execution and clean up everything went flawlessly. Jason helped with menu selection and renting tableware. The food was delicious, service was impeccable and they left the kitchen immaculate. All of our guests raved about the appetizers and dinner. This is the second time our company has used Tavola Catering for a company function & once again, they were awesome! Jason & staff went out of their way to make our event a success. The food was delicious- something for everyone even within the Mediterranean themed cuisine. The presentation was simple & perfect. For this event we used Jason as our bartender & he was a crowd pleaser. Very friendly to all of the guests. I didn?t get ONE complaint about this event! We will defiantly keep Tavola & Jason on our list of preferred vendors. Pros: Reasonably priced, delicious food, AWESOME DESERTS!!! Cons: None! more

Best Christmas Party Dinner Ever! 12/23/2008

Tavola Catering (Jason DiGiacomo) catered our annual Christmas party and sit-down dinner. The food and the service was phenomenal, but the most amazing thing is that the Tavola team executed the event with precision and skill despite a foot of unexpected snow and ice! Treacherous driving conditions and a 1/2 mile, steep icy driveway did not prevent the Tavola team from delivering an awesome dinner. The food was truly the best we have ever had for this yearly event and we will absolutely use Tavola catering for all of our future events. Amazing food and amazing service... 11/7/2008

Jason catered an event for me this last summer and everything was top notch. It was a get together to celebrate my Dad's life, and was a pretty sensitive situation - as one could imagine. Jason handled everything delicately and professionally all while taking the "food" burden off of our shoulders. Everything tasted fantastic and was beautifully presented. I love that he uses local, organic ingredients whenever possible - shopping at farmers markets around town to get the absolute best for his dishes. Highly recommended!!! Fantastic catering! 11/7/2008

Tavola Catering is truly fantastic. I primarily use them for work functions...but have also recommended them to friends who have raved about the quality and consistency of the food. Jason is a great chef and also very customer service oriented. prompt. professional. quality. His party trays are truly the best I have ever seen...with unique options and flavors. very impressive. Great Assortment for Corporate Events 10/20/2008

I have hired Jason now for 2 afternoon catering events and have received very positive feedback from our clients. We chose a nice assortment of meats, cheeses, veggies, salads, dips; a clean but creative menu for a group of 40. It was an exceptional spread and we will be using Tavola again for future open houses. more
