I say this because we first went when Taster's was in downtown Edmonds with our 5 and 8 year old girls--the only place we could get tasty vegetarian food. We waited anxiously until they found their new place and designed a bigger, more beautiful and fuller menu, closer to our home. By then, every home from college visit, every birthday has meant a trip to Taster's. Every boyfriend has fallen in love with the food, and can't wait to visit and go again. Even now, after we've moved down to Seattle, I'll be stopping by to pick up the favorites for take-out while my daughter's home shopping for a wedding dress--Szechuan Eggplant, Lofun (fat rice noodles) special ordered with deep-fried tofu, and the sweet and sour ""vegetarian chicken,"" (even though she's no longer a vegetarian!) As for the bar scene, I've always noticed it's unusually popular, and active, but we've never had a problem with that. The owners are great and always remembered our names.
Pros: Great menu, VERY tasty food, friendly service
Cons: We have to drive up from Seattle now, tight on parking
