Taste Of Home Catering

I love Taste of Home Catering! I have had Donna and her staff cater many different events, large and small. The service is wonderful. Donna is always prompt with sending menus and contracts. She is willing to give you as much help as you need if you are unsure of what direction to take the party. She is great at putting a perfect menu together that flows from appetizers to desserts. I get so many compliments on the food, people can't believe it was catered. They have always been prompt on the day of the event and the servers have been excellent. Thank you more

Had an appointment with the owner, Donna, to dicuss them catering my wedding. When we came at our scheduled time we had to wait approximately 10 minutes for the her to get off the phone. Then we were barely acknowledged. She asked me when my wedding date was 4 different times, guess she wasn't paying attention. At the end of our meeting she said she would e-mail a proposal in a week. I waited two weeks, then called and had to leave a voice message for her to call me back. She never did so we went with someone else. Even if their food is good, I would not trust that they would show up on time or maybe not even at all. Cons: Wasted my time more

Taste of Home was a disaster to begin with. We made an appointment for a food tasting. When we got there we were told that we could only pick up the food and taste it at our own home. The owner claims that she explained this on the phone, but I was unaware. We took the food home and it was good. We decided to contact her again, despite the mix up. It took her over a week to return my phone call. We did finally set up a meeting to talk about getting a proposal together. This was on a Friday and we were told that she'll e-mail us a proposal by Wednesday. The proposal is now a week late. We have called and e-mailed her and have gotten no response. We are constantly told by one of her workers that they are really busy right now. In the end, we decided not to wait and go with another caterer. At this point, I wouldn't even trust them to show up and do the job right. I recommend that people don't even bother calling her. Pros: good food Cons: really bad service more

I called the Company and Donna returned my call on Wednesday. I unfortunately had procrasinated to the last minute for an employee 84 year anniversary lunch for Friday. Donna took care of me wonderfully, the food was excellent, hot, on time and no over charge for my lack of rush. Would highly recomend them for quality, value for dollars, great food and service. I will be using them again. Great menu choices! more

Plan ahead and fax or email in your choice of menu and you get great catering delivered. We use Taste of Home all the time for company meetings. Favorite entrees are Lemon Chicken and Sliced Roast Beef with Roasted Peppers. Favorite side dishes are potato wedges, glazed carrots, kernel corn. Fresh fruit tray is always fresh and beautifully presented. The tray of assorted bars makes a nice dessert. Visitors from out of town vote to have food from ""that wonderful caterer"" again after the first day's taste. Pros: Great tasting food delivered more

Food was good at an event I attended previously, so I decided to call to discuss possibly using them for my wedding. I called 3 times, left messages, was told this was the graduation season and they were really busy...ok I can see that. Finally got an appointment to meet. It was like meeting with a used car salesman. Sure, their prices were great until you added on everything else. They werre supposed to have a propsal done in a week. 2 weeks went by...no word. When I called their ""assistant"" told me they were ""too busy"" with Father's day events and would not be able to get back to me for another week. Since I decided this might be a sign of things to ahead...I got another caterer for my event. So I suppose they might be good for a cookout or something...but if you are planning an important event. This one is definately not one I would recommend. more
