Rude owner and horrible food! Disgusting. 10/7/2011

They should be ashamed of themselves. I ordered a steak burrito today. They gave me a teaspoon of liquid, runny guacamole (then charged an extra $1.50 and they don't tell you it is extra) and a tiny amount of sour cream (they charge extra for that too). Lots of white gummy rice, and very, very little tasteless steak cubes. My $4.70 burrito ended up being over $7.50 with the ""extras"". The burrito was 3"" long and 1""wide with NO flavor. I couldn't believe how bad and actually disgusting it was. I went back in to ask the snarly guy behind the counter why it was so much and he said, ""you had guac and sour cream plus Newton tax is really high""...really??! This place will not survive. Bad attitudes, bad food...I feel ripped off and a little sick after eating there today. Save your money ...and your stomach! It was gross. more

Solid choice, although owner is unfriendly 11/30/2009

I have mixed feelings about Tango Mango. I think their food is pretty good, particularly the chile verde (burritos or nachos) and the mushroom quesadillas. I also like that they offer a wheat tortilla shell for burritos. The prices are very reasonable. However, I find the owner to be very unfriendly, and borderline rude. She's usually working the cash register and barely looks at you or speaks to you. When she does look at you, she usually has a frown on her face. She also has this habit of sort of throwing your credit card back at you. Honestly, I feel like I have to walk on egg shells whenever I'm in her restaurant because I don't want her to snap at me. I used to go to Tango Mango 2-3 times a week and I put up with this behavior for a couple of years because the food/price was pretty good, but now I just go to Anna's Taqueria. The food is just as good, if not better, and you don't feel unwelcome. Pros: Food is good, price is reasonable Cons: Owner is very unfriendly more
