Nestled in the heart of the Berkshires, Tanglewood dates back to the 1930s and is currently the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. I have spent a lot of time at Tanglewood, having worked there, attended many concerts, and participated in summer youth programs. It is one of my favorite places in the Berkshires, whether there is a concert going on or not. The campus is expansive and beautiful. Sitting on the lawn with a picnic and a bottle of wine during a concert is a lovely experience. The symphony halls are magnificent and enhance your music listening experience as well. Overall, visiting this gem is an amazing cultural opportunity that should not be missed.
