I had the best experience of going to the dentist at this office. They were friendly, and accepted my insurance plan to take care of my root canal. I loved the Dentist. He was the best dentist I have been to in my life. more

I was very impressed too. it was just a great experience. Every person I met at the office had a great sence of care and attitude. My insurance is not that great but I'm glade there is nice office out there that covers it. more

My opinion is this is the best dental office I had ever been to. I chose them through recomendation of a friend of mine. 3 mo ago I went to a dental office in Dana point with some dissapointments. I couldn't say enough good about the people at the Talega Dental office. The dentist and his nurses were absolutely great people. They were gentle, Competant and very corteous. I never thought going to the dentist would be a pleasant one. The best part was I paid for all the work less than the quote I got from the other office. more

This place is a rip-off. I have a dental HMO through work and my old dentist is not on the list of preferred providers. I think the reason that they accept HMO dental insurance is because they know how to game the insurance system and over-charge the client. I got a deep-cleaning (planing and scaling) and 2 fillings. My insurance coverage says that deep cleaning is 100% covered and fillings have a deductible anywhere from $20-$75 depending on the material/location. Instead of it costing $40-$150 they charged me $1200. They game the HMO plan in 2 ways. First, they charged $600 for irrigation (this is a part of the deep cleaning process that they know is not covered so they charge a lot more than other dentists for it). My previous dentist charged less than $600 for deep cleaning + irrigation even without insurance. They also charged $600 for the two fillings. Apparently, when they had me sign the 5 page consent form, it says that instead of composite fillings the signer elects to use veneers. I called later and they said they do not do composite fillings...so I didn't have much of a choice. They know that the insurance covers fillings and not veneers, so they do veneers instead of fillings to get around it. They didn't do anything illegal but they are definitely not acting in the best interest of the client and I will not be going back. more

I went to their office last week for the first time and my experience was wonderful. I met this young Dr that i don't remember his name, but cleaned my teeth and took care of my gum problem like a miracle hand.since I found them online, I thought I give personal opinion about them. more

They seem more interested in performing unnecessary procedures to generate revenues than in the welfare of their patients. Get a second opinion. more

I have been scared of the dentist when a dentist years ago caused me pain during some root canal work. I went in to see Dr. Mosafari and I am so happy now, his staff is so friendly and nice. They call me to remind me of my appointments and are always attentive to what I need. The doctors are great, they are all patient and take their time in making sure that I understand every step of the way. The office is very beautiful and very, very clean. The waiting room looks nothing like a waiting room it looks like a comfy living room. The treatment room has a nice,big, comfy chair, with huge windows so I didn't feel like I was caged in a white room like my old dental office. I've referred the rest of my family to this office. I've been a patient for the last year at Talega Dental. From the moment I walked in I felt right at home. The setting in the office is that of a home away from home. You are warmly welcomed by his caring staff immediately. I didn't feel lost like in other offices I had been to where you are just another chart number. The doctors are all patient and are very informative. I've been terrified of the dentist since I was six, so I have never been to happy ever at any office. I was obviously nervous once the exam started but Dr. Amir was very nice and patient and went over all my recommended treatment with me. Then his treatment counselor came in to the room to go over my insurance fees etc. She was a little pushy and took to long in my book to explain everything that the doctor had already explained to me. I have horrible insurance and wasn't surprised at the amount my treatment was going to cost me. Belive me I've been to the office right next door and they wanted $1200 for a crown!! I agreed to all my treatment and was glad to have it done and over with, Dr Shapiro was great during my procedure and very patient with me. The office is very clean the front desk girls are all very helpful and nice. Give them a chance and see what you think. Pros: Caring staff and doctors, clean office, fair prices. After reading some reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience at Talega Dental. I have never had much luck with my teeth and and had a lot of dental work in the past. I heard about this office through a friend and I found out they took my insurance, so I made an appointment. I wasnt expecting much based on my past experiences, but my friend had nice things to say, so I tried to have an open mind. I was pleasantly surprised when the day before my appointment i received a reminder call to confirm. The girl on the phone was so pleasant it put me at ease. I arrived at the office and was cheerfully greeted and given some papers to fill out. I had not even finished when an assistant came and took me inside. Wow, no waiting, so far so good. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions ( I tend to ask a lot of questions). Soon the doctor came in and checked my teeth. He explained to me what he saw and then he took photos of my teeth so I could see what he was talking about. I did have a few problems , but after seeing the pictures and listening to the doctor's explanation, I felt comfortable. Next, A treatment coordinator came in and wasnt at all like the other reviews describe. She explained to me what the doctor had recommended and what my insurance would cover and how much I would have to pay. I knew insurance doesn't pay for everything, so it was no surprise that I might have to spend some money. I felt the fees were reasonable. I was again surprised when I was told they could start my work that visit. I get nervous so this was ideal. The doctor that did my work was quite gentle and very thorough in explaining what he was doing. Overall I had a great experience and left the office feeling I made a good choice for my new dentist. I would recommend Talega to anyone looking for a new dental office that actually treats you like you a valued patient and takes the time to make you feel comfortable and understand your dental needs. I had a filling that had fallen out and it had been 2 years since my last cleaning. Since I'm a Talega resident I chose Talega dental. Last time I had a filling and a cleaning I paid nothing at my time of visit other than my deductible. Then I would receive a bill from the dentist for what ever insurance didn't cover usually about $100.00. Not today!!! Apparently fillings no longer exist you must get porcelain and insurance doesn't cover this procedure. I also found out that insurance will not cover ""a deep cleaning"" although after talking to metlife they will cover 1 a year. So I had to pay $650 dollars at todays visit. Make sure you bring your credit card because they do not take checks. Other then the bill being ridiculous and me getting railroaded the staff is nice. Except for the lady that they send in before any work is performed to make sure you understand your insurance is not good here. Pros: facility Cons: Prices more

Contrary to all the above, I came to this website to file a perfectly satisfactory report with Dr. Mozafari and his office, Talega Dental. There were many good points I was happy to find in this office than many other offices I have attended in the past.\r Firstly, right when you walk into the office, you don't get that ""Oh no I'm going to the Dreaded-Dentist's"" feeling that you usually will get when you walk into a standard Dentistry. From the moment I walked through those doors I felt like I was in my own home. Not only was the waiting room comfortable for me and my kids, but the staff at the front desk were helpful and kind. I was extremely happy with the service at the front; everyone was so... helpful. I received more attention from the staff than I have from any other Dental Office.\r I had to have a lot of work done on my teeth, it turned out. Yet the price of the procedures and how much my insurance covered did not surprise me. The cost of this office was no different, believe me: I have been to many other offices that charge more for the same treatment. In the end it was worth it.\r In the end, my teeth were in marvelous shape and my smile was more beautiful than it had ever been. Thank you, Talega! You have done wonders. My company switched our ins. carrier two years ago. My whole family was assigned to several different dentists where I could bore you with different nightmare stories one after another. One of my coworkers recommended Talega Dental Group in San Clemente. Today was my fourth visit to this office. I have never been happier in my life with any other dentist. Both my wife and I are fanatic about our teeth and we're so glad to have found a family dental office which we trust. Pros: fees and caring attitude Cons: haven't found anything yet more

I haven't been to a dentist in a long time and found Talega Dental. They were very professional and were able to clean my teeth so they will look nice for an upcoming vacation, where I plan to take a lot of pictures. Thanks. I would go again next year. more

I hate going to a dentist, which is why I ended up with toothache. Today at Tallega Dental I found an office I feel comfortable in, with people who made the experience almost a joy! Everyone was friendly and happy, thoughtful and kind, and best of all, very competent. \r They seem to do all options in dentistry and have all the latest high-tech equipment and patient-friendly techniques. \r I highly recommend them. \r In future I will not fear my dental appointments.\r more
