My dog was bit and required surgery. They claimed the dog did not act in an agressive manner. My dog was apparently running around and had a lot of energy when he was attacked. A...

Everyone at the Menasha Tailwaggers Doggie Daycare have been so sweet and kind to my 4 month old puppy! We experienced no problems at all and our puppy had a blast over the Christmas holidays when no one else could care for her. She just loves the people and dogs here!! I highly recommend it! more

I have had nothing but wonderful expierences here at Tailwaggers. Everyone here has been fantastic to not only my pampered pooch but myself as well. The groomers are fantastic and obviously have a deep rooted passion and love for dogs. By reading the previous comment I am a little shocked at how a little mistake has gotten blown out of proportion. I have never heard of a chemical burn to an eye before, that would mean that when you get shampoo in your own eyes after washing your hair that your eyes are chemically burned and would be obviously be damaged. I'm sure that the groomer feels terrible about this and then to put it on the interent and make her feel even worse just seems very low and un-called for in my eyes. Mistakes happen. In your own place of employment we have all made mistakes, if every one of them was broadcast over the internet I'm sure a lot of us wouldn't have business and leave new clients uneasy about trying out a new business. I just can't believe that someone would do that to these girls who clearly work very, very hard. I will ALWAYS bring my boys to tailwaggers and I stand behind them 100%. Its there home away from home and they love it here as much as I do. more

Use at your OWN dog's risk!!! I took my dog to Tailwaggers in Menasha for a regular grooming session with Michaela. Shortly after picking my dog up I noticed he could not open his right eye all the way. I called Tailwaggers and brought my dog back. Michaela was gone for the day so Kelly helped flush out my dogs eyes. Kelly explained that shampoo had probably gotten in my dog's eyes and obviously irritated them. She told me to call if my dog's eyes did not get better. At this point I was becoming quite concerned and called my vet (Appanasha Pet Clinic). I was advised to bring my dog in ASAP. I called Tailwaggers asking to talk to Tara Kerr, who is the owner, as my dogs eyes were getting worse, not better . I was told she was busy but would call me within the hour. She did not. I proceeded to take my dog to the vet. The vet told me my dog had a CHEMICAL abrasion OR CHEMICAL burn!!!! When I was able to speak to Tara Kerr on the phone, two days later, she stated that I was was actually making my dogs eyes worse by following the vets treatment plan. I explained that I was seeking compensation as one of her groomers, Michaela, had made a mistake and now there were vet bills. Tara Kerr refused to compensate me in any manner. In fact, stating it was my responsibility to take care of my dog. Even though her groomer had made a mistake by getting a chemical, most likely shampoo, in my dog's eyes. I had been taking my dogs there for over five (5) years but will no longer be doing so nor providing them any business. I understand mistakes happen. However, for Tara Kerr not to compensate a customer in the error of her employee, I find that unexcusable. more

Not for my dog 3/3/2010

My dog was injured the first day of an extended weekend stay at Tailwaggers. The information I provided in their forms was not properly entered into their system. I was not notified, my emergency contact number was incorrectly entered and not contacted. I happen to provide a second emergency number and they successfully contacted them. My second emergency contact got a hold of me and I called Tailwagger and spoke to the owner (Joan). She proceeded to tell me a different reason for the injury than was told to me by my contact, which was confusing. Later to tell me another story and indicate she is old, doesn't hear well and was confused. When I picked up my dog there was no Vet bill or instructions from the vet on how to care for the cut on his face or the six staples. I had to call for the bill, which Joan said was $80 and actually was $190. Also had to call the Vet for information on how to care for injury, Joan offered to take money off our next visit, but was no longer comfortable with Tailwaggers and will not be taking my pets there. Pros: none I can think of Cons: Bad administration more

A second home... 4/2/2009

A great place to leave your pet. The staff is so caring and knowledgable. Any question I have they will do whatever they can to help. They know all the dogs by names and all the dogs are very happy to be there. Plenty of play and exercise. It truly is a second home. You can trust in their care and well being at Tailwaggers. Pros: Friendly, caring, knowledgable staff Cons: None more
