Tails-A-Waggin' Pet Grooming

My dog is like one of my children (a yellow lab), so I wanted to make sure he was nothing short of completely comfortable. I had taken him to PetSmart to be groomed before and the staff's unfriendly attitude left a bad taste in my mouth when I left him. He came home depressed and mopey afterwards, so I knew I had to find somewhere else to take him. Tails a-Waggin is right by my house and I decided to give it a try. Not only is the staff friendly and great, but they were completely attentive to my dog's needs. He is an epileptic, so they asked all the right questions to make sure they knew his history. If in the event he had a seizure there, I knew he would be okay. The grooming job they did was fantastic (and he smelled great for quite some time)! He was so soft, shiny, nails perfectly cut, and stray hairs trimmed. He looked like a brand new dog. And better yet, he was in a tip-top mood when he came home from there. I took both of my Standard Poodles to Tails-A-Waggin for seveal years. We always got compliments on how great they looked from everyone, including vets and other pet professionals. They couldn't have taken better care of my boys! more

Yes, it is a bit far from my house, but I got this tip from a friend. This place is great for my large Labradoodle. He's a great pooch, and we make the drive every two months (during the warm weather), to get his hair chopped, nails, trimmed, ears cleaned...the works! The owner is Claudia, and she is SOOOOOOOO nice. A friend of mine lives that way and encouraged me to try it, after we had been to a few more local-to-my -home shops. What we love about this shop: A. Friendly B. The dogs are all groomed UPFRONT (this was important to me) C. The shop was clean D. They treated my dog so well. E. Pricing is great! F. I have been taking my dog to Tails-a-Waggin for many years now. They always do an excellent job with the shampoo, haircut, and also with clipping nails. It's better to make an appointment, although I think they do take drop-offs. The weekends are quite busy, though, so don't count on that method to get your pet groomed. The staff are very friendly and obviously love working with animals. I am comfortable leaving my dog with them for a few hours. Highly recommended! more
