Tails & Scales

Purchased a tortoise from them a few months ago and received great guidance from the staff. Even to the point of weighing him for me every week so I would know if he was growing and doing good. The help I receive here is excellent and the product and animal knowledge is great. purchased a hamster for my daughter there and they have been great with that purchase too. If they do not have the piece she wants for its habitrail they find it and get it in. Great job guys. more

Teenage wasteland of zero customer service! If you don't mind being treated like a complete idiot by a know-it-all teenager to save a couple bucks, then by all means shop here! Otherwise, steer clear. more

I have never had a problem with Tales and Scales. I find the store employess very knowledgeable and helpful. We have purchased a few animals from them and many supplies through the years and have never had any problems at all. They even gave us store credit for a bearded dragon that became too large for us to handle. No complaints from this customer at all! more

The employees at Tails and Scales know very little about the animals sold, I watched as a prospective buyer asked one employee for information about a Chinese Water Dragon, the employee stammered and failed to give any helpful information other than do you have a cage and a locking screen top? Bearded Dragons are kept together which is one thing during breeding season but year round is horrible, I've seen the Bearded Dragons become aggressive to one another (in a non mating way), and then Bearded Dragons kept with other lizards such as Chinese Water Dragons and Iguanas. Every Bearded Dragon is missing toes and part of their tail. Three years ago I went in to several pet stores looking at buying a Bearded Dragon for my Christmas present, I went to Tails and Scales and their prices were low so I almost got one but I put it off, when I went back ONE day later all the babies that were there the previous day had tails and toes missing. I take my grandaughter to this store and she loves watching the huge snakes, and lizards, and fish, and spiders.\r I wont get close to the glass; it looks like they will bust out.\r The staff are very helpful; and many reptiles are often on sale.\r I would recommend this store to anyone who needs fish/ reptiles or the supplies to go along with. more

My family has been customers of Tails & Scales for years. We wouldn't go anywhere else for our supplies or advise for our lizards. The guys who run the store are the best. more

I first found out about Tails and Scales when I was searching on google for a pet store near my city. If you're looking for cool reptiles or even fish then this is the place to go! I personally went to look for a snake. At other pet shops I went to the people knew very little about snakes if anything at all! The people at Tails and Scales KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. I had quite a few questions lined up before I even went to the store and the guy I asked had very good and detailed answers! I was very satisfied with the prices, the people working there, and my over-all experience. If I ever decide to get another pet reptile I will definitely be going there and this is a place I would recommend to ANYONE looking for a cool new pet.
