Tailoring by Kim doesn't even deserve one, single star! She is extremely dishonest. She ruined a $330 dollar pair of True Religion jeans, and refused to return them OR pay for them OR replace them. Where are they now?....ebay? She was asked to do a Euro/reattachment hem, and she decided she would ""fashion"" her own instead. STAY AWAY!!! ANd, she NEVER, EVER finishes in time. I have heard story, after story.... be warned!!!! more

I took my daughter there to have her prom gown altered. The first time we went she said come back when you have the exact shoes and bra you will be wearing with your dress and I'll do it then. When we came back she acted funny as soon as we walked into her shop. She told my daughter to change into her gown. My daughter is tiny so it needed to be shortened and taken in a little. Kim told us to use tape to make the dress fit better. She told us that my daughter was going to be fussy and a perfectionist so she did not (my daughter was silent) feel comfortable about doing anything. The whole time she was changing that woman kept saying I know her she is too perfect and fussy. I finally said no you don't know her. How could you know someone you have hardly spent any time with? We went to another place in Amherst and had no problem whatsoever. This other place on Flint Road and Millersport is outstanding. I'm glad Kim was not nice, because I'm sure she is unable to do a good job except for something very simple. Just want to thank Kim for being so rude. It worked out just fine for us. I took a few articles of clothing to be altered about 5 weeks before I had to leave for an international trip. She said that they would be ready in 2 weeks. When the day came that I had to pick them up, she handed them to me and told me I was all set. I told her that I wanted to try them on just to make sure they fit because I didn't want to make another trip out... I lived 30 minutes away. She all of a sudden had a look of panic come across her face and her response was, ""Well, if they don't fit, I can't fix it anyway because I am leaving to go out of town tomorrow."" I tried on a dress, and nothing was done to it. A jacket that she did actually alter hem was falling apart. Straps to my daughters shirt were unevenly shortened. My others daughters top was taken in too much... I couldn't even button it. I asked her where another dress of mine was, and her response was, ""Oh, that is your dress... I didn't have time to do it."" Also, she said she would custom make a dress for my youngest daughter... I already had the top and bottom which I need sewn together to make into a dress... but that was never done as well. While there,a girl walked in with a dress, and she said, ""no I can't take it."" Also, another set of customers walked in, and she told me to just take everything and go. She probably didn't want me to start a commotion and risk losing business from other people. I was told that she is very reputable and does a fantastic job. She has absolutely no professional manner, and basically lied to my face saying that everything was done hoping that I would just take the stuff and go. I leave for my trip in 11 days, and now have to find someone else to do this and hopefully they can rush everything. I truely think she was trying to scam me... by taking my money and not doing any work!!! The only reason I gave her one star id because it wouldn't let me give her no stars! My bit of advice... DO NOT GO TO TAILORING BY KIM!!! Pros: Absolutely nothing! Cons: Everthing... service, professional manner more
