Stay away from this dealership. Worst experience. Bought a 55K vehicle and sales and finance staff does not return calls or emails. I was not properly informed about warranty and now I cannot buy warranty on 2012 ML 350. They care about you until you sign contract, after that you are screwed. Stay away from them. The management does not care either. I tried contacting manager, no one returned call more

Loved my salesman Kareem....Bought a 2012 GLK in February, got in the car three weeks ago and didn't have air conditioning. It was 100 that day, took it to Tafel they tell me that something has punctured the condenser and since it is an outside force it would not be covered under the warranty. After 15 emails back and forth, I again specifically asked for breakdown of labor/parts on the quote that I was given. His response was "I think we have developed "trust issues" in our relationship" and you need to take your car somewhere else" WTF, I guess they would rather kick a customer to the curb then tell the truth. more

A rare find! 8/11/2012

Second time in for service on my C. I though the first time in they would make that special effort and after that i would see the 'real thing'. WRONG. Another great service visit. Went in for scheduled maintenance and the advisor took me to their web site and printed a discount coupon for my service. That was a first! Everything went as planned and ready when I expected it. Use their shuttle service. They even have some cool old dudes driving. Take a look; I saw in their web site that hey had a coupon with a price guarantee for any estimate you brought in for repairs. I think I can save even more using that one next time. I'll be back! more

A WOW experience 8/8/2012

First time in for service. Very professional service advisor who greeted me with a hand shake and a smile. The advisor was sincere, walked me the lounge area while I waited for the shuttle service and offered me drinks and a snack. Shuttle ride was quick and easy. Got a call 3 hours later with a report on my car. They found a nail in my tire and fixed it at no charge to me. WOW. Arrived back at the store 1 hour early and my car was ready to go. Washed and ready early. A great service experience! I will be returning for sure. Thanks to the Tafel team. more

The Absolute Worst of the Worst 1/3/2012

Unfortunately I've had similar experiences to what has been described in other reviews of Taffel. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They have so much service business they really don't care when your car gets fixed or even if it gets fixed properly. I even wrote the owner of the dealership a letter describing my terrible customer experiences and examples of their poor repair work, but never even received an acknowledgement.They fix the same problem over and over again instead of finding the cause, they guess at what might be wrong and do unnecessary work, they don't properly fix what they say they fixed and you have to bring it back the next day or even two or three more times just to get the problem taken care of. And they make no excuses for their poor quality or terrible customer service because they are the only game in town.. more

I found my Benz on Autotrader.com and I contacted Patrick Williams at Tafel Motors. From the 1st word "Hello", I knew he wanted to sell me a car. He sent me a personal video of the car and emailed me the complete background information including the carfax, service records and previous owner information. After I talked to the previous owner, I was ready to buy my new Benz, He even picked me up at the airport. I highly recommend Patrick Williams and the entire staff at Tafel. more

One word. AWFUL 1/27/2011

Steer clear of this place! They randomly close their service/parts department before the hours posted without warning. They promise/guarantee that parts will be here x and then x comes along two, three, four times and the parts aren't there. Take your high price vehicle out of town and get REAL service at a REAL Benz dealer. Customer service here is horrible as well. Half the time they won't answer the phone in the service department and the operator will insist you call back later. So much for a 55k car. more

I highly recommend Tafel 9/8/2010

I just purchased my third car from Tafel. The Sales and Service staff has been incredible. I have serviced each of my Mercedes at tafel and I have always had a great experience. The previous luxury car dealership I used was terrible, so maybe I just have a greater appreciation for what they do at Tafel. I have recommened Tafel to a number of friends who have purchased there and none of them have experienced any issues. more

Tafel Motors is HORRIBLE! 7/28/2009

It started when I purchased the vehicle in October of 2008. I purchased it as a pre-owned Certified vehicle. The vehicle only had one previous owner, and all the services were done at Tafel. \r Few days after my purchase I noticed my Easy Entry was not working properly along with Electronic trunk closer, sound was not coming out of speakers, yet the radio would be on. These issues would not all happen at the same time, however, there was no pattern to them either. \r I brought my vehicle in numerous times for each issue, and every time they would tell me they could not figure out what the problem is. They have replaced the power seat memory control module for drivers seat (2 to 3 times according to them) regarding my Easy Entry complaint. Additionally, they have replaced the control unit in the drivers door panel. Regarding the radio issue, they have replaced the amp once, and CD changer once. About a week later, my Easy Entry was not working, and additionally, drivers seat has moved o more

Not helpful at ALL! Unsafe Car 6/22/2009

Had a family member purchase a nice E320 in 1997. At least we thought it was nice. Has had nothing but problems with this car. This week, luckly they were not traveling very fast, the front suspension spring shot out of the car causing the car to collapse. The frame that the spring rest on rusted completely off. For such an expensive car both front spring mounts are rusted and car is in shop for a $1700.00 repair. Corporate Mercedes and Taffel would not help out in any way with the repairs. This is a vehicle that was taken well care of and was never left out in the weather. I thought Mercedes were supposed to be such a great car. This has changed my mind forever. Unsafe vehicle. Be warned if you have a Mercedes, better have this checked out before you are in a crash. more

You'll regret going to Tafel for service 4/18/2009

I've had my car to Tafel for service many times because it's the only Mercedes dealership in Louisville. Each time I've taken it there, I've regretted it. On three separate occasions, my car has emerged from service at Tafel with the exact same problems it had when I took it there, and after spending thousands of dollars each time. They charge a lot of money to diagnose a problem, and more than once they have misdiagnosed the problem. I had to have another mechanic tell Tafel what the real problem was for a repair that only the dealership had the equipment to make. \r \r They don't check to make sure they've addressed every problem you've told them about, yet strongly suggest that you have additional work done that wasn't even on that list. I have never had a repair that actually worked, which means you have to keep bringing your car back again and again and again -- and to different people because their staff turns over constantly. I had a different service adviser almost every time . more

Great dealership 10/4/2008

We have bought all of our cars at Tafel for years. I really appreciate the safety of the Mercedes brand and am glad that both my children now have Mercedes as well - from Tafel. The service department is very friendly. Yes, a Mercedes is perhaps a bit higher in price so it is good to have a Mercedes dealer who treats you well. more
