Something is missing.... 4/13/2006

This Best Buy has great staff and a lot of selection. I was especially impressed by them during the Holiday Season when the streamlined their returns and made them relatively easy. I was met at the door, where they scanned my item and put a sticker on it, then all I had to do was bring it to a register. I am disappointed however because this particular Best Buy has done away with their discount DVDs section. What used to be placed near Special Interest, tons of cheap DVDs, is missing. Now their discount movies are mixed in all over the place, and I suspect that their selection is less. What used to draw me into the store frequently is no longer there. more

Best Buy 4/13/2006

I've got to admit: I'm wary of Best Buy. In Knoxville, the store's a giant stupidhouse filled with stupid. In Albany, it's not quite the same. Admittedly, I don't go rushing on Sunday afternoons for sale items, so they may still be shortchanging the stores, but the service I've received the few times in this one has been decent. Example? I picked up some speakers that didn't work so well with my receiver. Took the speakers back a few days later and returned them with no hassle. I was amazed; in Knoxville, I'd have gone through three grunts and a manager before seeing my money. more
