When this place is open, the food is decent. However, the music in this place is way to loud. Even when sitting down for dinner you basically have to scream across the table. The acoustics of this building suck. The past couple bars at this location have suffered the same problem. The service is hit or miss. Drinks are slightly higher priced than other bars in the area, but not horribly expensive. Pros: Decent Food Cons: Extremely loud music, marginal service, hardly ever open more

We made a reservation for 11ppl when arrived they had no reservation. Food was ordered and only half of the order was made, guests had to wait for the other half. My wife's chicken was spoiled and the waiter agreed after I made him smell it. Beef was tough, sushi was not fresh. They forgot again my second request. We ordered desert for my daughter's birthday, we had to wait 15 min for spoon and forks. The manager felt bad and did not charge us for desert and bottle of wine. I still left 20% tip on the final balance and letter when I checked my credit card I noticed additional tip was added. I am now disputing the charges. Ten Waterfront is having a new Tuesday event, 3$ sushi $5 sushi rolls and drink specials. This event is every Tuesday, the sushi specials run from 5:00pm-10:00pm and the drink specials last all night long until closing. Enjoy waterfront dining, live DJ, and dancing too. After reading all the great reviews about how good the food was and how it was one of the top "romantic" spots in OC, I made a reservation for myself and my fiancé for Valentine's Day. I was excited about the Kobe after seeing it on the online menu, however, after we arrived we were informed that they "revamped" the menu and no longer offered it. The resulting menu is nothing to write home about, and the execution was even worse. My filet mignon was over-seared and very tough/burnt on the outside. Vegetables were eh, and potatoes were ok. My fiance's seared ahi was very fishy and overpowered by the pepper. The service was atrocious as well. Not only did they greet us very gruffly and shuttle us like cattle to our little table, my water was refilled once during an hour and a half meal, and I had to call after the waitress to get her to come back so I could order my desert after my fiancé had ordered hers. The atmosphere is the only saving grace with the gorgeous setting and decor. The music was way too loud and inappropriate for Valentine's Day - hardly romantic. Seems they got a bit too big for their britches after the last year of growth and accolades and forgot to actually care about their product and customers. I brought a first date to Ten Waterfront upon a recommendation from a friend. Since that first date, we have been back three more times. The food is amazing. The filet mignon wonton appetizer is our favorite and the Japanese Kobe is the best steak I have ever had. Its so tender you can be cut with a fork. As for the views, there is nothing better than watching the boats come and go across a sunset back drop. I have eaten everywhere on the peninsula over the past 10 years, and this now officially my favorite of all-time. Pros: The Food and Views more

I went to Ten Waterfront on the recommendation of a friend and wasn't disappointed. The food was excellent; I had the steak and my wife had the sushi, both of which were fresh and prepared well. The service was also very good for such a new place. Nice cocktail list keeps it interesting. The outdoor terrace is a good spot to have a drink while waiting for a table or for friends. The location in the marina lets you watch the boats and the beautiful view. All in all a good time and definitely recommend trying it out. I take my fiance here as much as I can because we both love the food and the atmostphere. Eating great food with such a cool view of the boats going by is awesome. And they have one of the coolest managers around. He will bend over backwards for you to make sure you are happy. This place is real kickback and relaxed with good music. Great customer service. My guy took me here a few weeks ago and it was amazing. We had spent the day in LA, but made a special trip out to Newport Beach because we heard such good things about this place. People were right! It was romantic and mellow. We had some great food (the Kobe beef is AMAZING!!!) and got a nice seat looking out over the water. The combination of the water, yummy food and cocktails all made for a magical evening. The manager was super cool, he dropped by to make sure everything was great. I happen to stumble here by accident on 4th of July and was so impressed with the location, the food and drinks but most of all the excellent service! I really enjoyed the view and hung out on the patio with my girl for about 3 hrs meeting other customers. It's perfect for taking dates but I had a hard time keeping my eyes away from all the beautiful women there so if you're single then you'll definitely want to stop by. I tried their bone-in rib eye and that's the reason why I'm going back there this weekend! The location is amazing, the restaurant is actually on the water and every table has a great view. I went to dinner there with a date, started with some sushi specials as appetizers, than finished with their wagyu rib eye. That steak was A-mazing! We than stayed and hung out on their patio after and than just enjoyed the DJ that was spinning after the dinner service.
