TAS #1 of Denton

Is this a review for the Goodyear on University?\r I went there yesterday and they totally scammed me. Not only that but they broke one of my hubcaps! I will never go there again. The guy that ""helped"" me was named Caesar. If there is a place to report them I would love to know. more

Took my Tercel in. It was chugging and missing pretty bad. I paid them about $100 to hook it up to their machine to see what was wrong with it. They gave me a printout with some codes on it and with the comments that valves were sticking; it needed plugs; ekg valve; head gasket; head job and quoted me about $1200. Needless to say I was pretty depressed as I had a lot in the car but couldn t justify this cost. Fortunately, good sense wormed its way into my pea-brain and I took it to a Toyota house here in Denton for a second opinion. Well, a set of spark plugs and wires and a cleaned out ekg valve and about $200 later, she was running as good as new.\r So, you tell me - clear-cut rip-off or extreme incompetence? Either way, I think after reading this, if you re stupid enough to take your car over there, you likely deserve what you get.\r And oh yeah, they haven t heard the last about this yet - I would really like to let someone know who could actually do something about it - BBB? City attorney? Goodyear headquarters? Newspaper? Any ideas? I d appreciate it. more

After charging us $114 for a diagnostic, they still ""couldn't find the part"" so they couldn't fix it. My wife, who addressed concern that they didn't fix our car, was called rude by the manager. Fifteen minutes later, we found the part at O'Reilly's and had it installed by Jeff Flemming at Auto Maintenance Center, 621 Elm Street, who did for $50 wih a smile. I would NEVER go to Goodyear TAS again, not only because they cheated us but because they were diisrespectful to my wife, for which I WILL NOT stand. more

Took my car here, worker lied about the manager approving a deal that he didnt, kept changing the price, when i FINALLY got my car the car was not fixed and they told me I would have to bring it back for them to fix it again. The manager was as rude as they come. The worker was nice but lied about the deal. I took my vehicle in for two new tires and a front end alignment. They called and said my battery was bad, my spark plugs weren't gapped properly, and all the fluids needed to be changed out!\r \r What I didn't tell these wingnuts was that my brake and power steering fluids had been changed a month ago and that I use platinum plugs that don't need to be gapped.\r \r Run from these guys because they are out to steal your money! I feel sorry for people that don't know much about cars because these guys could take you for a ride! more

I can't even begin to rate TAS of Denton. Their customer service, reliability, and knowledge of their trade brings back values and business ethics that have seemed to be lost in city's that grow as fast as Denton. Jeff, Brent and all the guys at TAS of Denton will be sincerely concerned with not only your vehicle, but your contentment with the time you spend at their shop and in transit to and from. They offer customer pick up when you have no way to get to and from their shop while your car is in their care. A swift call back with an almost to the penny estimate, as well as options to get you on the road safely. Before finding TAS of Denton, I had several vehicles and several mechanics. For 7 years, I have felt so secure in the service and I will ALWAYS go back to TAS of Denton for all my repairs and vehicle needs. Pros: Excellent customer service, knowledgeable, FAST, friendly, trustworthy and they stand behind their work! Cons: I know it's hard to believe, but in 7 years and several service needs, I have never found one...except they are not open Sunday. I guess they have to rest, sometime! more
