If you're looking for a Thai place that's open on a Sunday, look the other way. I \r
went to Thai Basil, against my better judgment, mostly because it's difficult to find a \r
Thai restaurant open on Sundays...let's just say I won't make that mistake again. \r
The food was definitely something to write home about -- but only to warn you to stay \r
away. The 'curries' we tried that day were subpar, and had none of the flavors you would\r
expect from a Thai restaurant. Much to their downfall, I'm not sure which was worse, the \r
food or the service. After being seated, as we prepared to order our food, we were asked \r
to relocate to another side of the restaurant, which of course was no big deal to me. The \r
waitress forgot to bring out certain of the items we had requested, so she's not well trained...\r
again, i really didn't expect the type of service you get at America's, so that too was of no real \r
consequence...what did us in was the manager's attitude when I politely asked if I could \r
send back a curry dish and order something else (for the sight and taste of the dish was \r
something I would be embarrassed to serve my house guests, and i'm no Top Chef). Basically\r
this just means they've got the wrong people cooking in the back, and they need to work on \r
customer service. Would I go back ? Not a chance.
