Hey Consumers, I have been to Sweetwater over 30 times now and I can tell you that this restaurant has been one of the most consistent restaurants for great service, attentive and respectful staff, delicious food with beautiful presentations, friendly clientele and atmosphere, and awesome craft brews! There's no question why this place is always busy. I highly recommend this venue and hope you have the same great experience. The Sweetest Restaurant Around 4/16/2006

Sweetwater is part of the Great American Restaurants chain. And while I normally try to avoid chain restaurants in favor of smaller ones, Sweetwater gets an exception. They have the most delicious bread (from local bread company Best Buns), and their food just can't be beat. The restaurant is always crowded, so call ahead to get put on their call-ahead list for faster seating. more

Fantastic Casual Restaurant and Microbrew 4/7/2006

A local chain around Northern Virginia, Sweetwater Tavern concentrates on making great food and beer. Order the sampler of beers and try a little of all their local specialty brews. The menu has something for everyone, and is not your run-of-the-mill menu. The ribs are fantastic and I usually get the drunken ribeye. No one can say no to the different tastes in the breadbasket either. The restaurant does not do to go orders, because they are afraid the food does not travel well and they do not want you to have a bad impression of the restaurant....but there is plenty in each meal to take home a doggy bag. more
