Simply, not the place for pizza. Look around and you will certainly find a better, thin crust pizzeria.

Some things, like broccoli, just don't belong on pizza. Others, like pesto, always do. At Sweet Tomatoes in Newton Centre, they do both. True, it's annoying that you can't get a small pizza there -- only a medium or a large; and it's astounding how expensive a pizza can be (even the slice of the day isn't exactly cheap). Still, for the most part, it is very good pizza, and the calzones are excellent. Moreover, the crust here may just be the best in all of Boston. You may not be able to afford it daily, but when you need a Neopolitain fix, it's definitely worth it. Treat yourself. more

If you are a pizza afficiando you will love this place, plain and simple. They do everything well a fancy pizza place should. You can order it anyway you want it and they have a fantastically large list of ingredients to choose from. Their crusts are just right thin and crispy. Service is crisp and quick, no nonsense but they get you your food on the double. more

Sweet Tomatoes is a trendy but casual little pizza shop located in Newton Centre. The young staff that works there are friendly and cool. The food is great - they use the freshest ingredients - dough, cheese, sauce, toppings. They will make the pizza right when you order it. The size and value of the pizza is fair, but the quality of the product is what counts. You will be satisfied with your food here. There are also two little tables right outside the restaurant, so if you want to sit outside, you can do so. more

Thin and crispy crust? Check. Massive slices? Check. Fresh ingredients? Check. Inventive toppings? Check. This pizza is beyond compare. It is the perfect blend of cheese and sauce. The prices are affordable. Slices are available in either cheese or the topping of the day. Whole pizzas come in a variety of mouthwatering choices or you can create your own. Calzones and salads are also yummy options. more
