Jenny's beats out the others! 1/6/2003

This ice cream is all home-made. It's too bad it's such a small place - it's very popular, especially with people living in the village of Williamsville. Pros: Inexpensive, Homemade ice cream! Cons: Small, Inconvenient hours more

  • The Scene
Set on the banks of picturesque Ellicott Creek, Jenny's is decorated like an old country kitchen with wood floors, parlor-style chairs and antique kitchenware hanging from the ceiling. It's quaint, quiet and worth fighting Main Street traffic for.

    The Food
Since Jenny's ice cream is homemade, no choice is a bad one. Creative sundaes utilize a variety of scrumptious toppings. The dusty road is a decadent treat made with homemade chocolate ice cream, peanuts and malt powder, covered in a chocolate shell. Just as rich is the mud pie, a mound of coffee ice cream with fresh walnuts and thick chocolate fudge sauce. Eighteen flavors of hard ice cream, plus sorbets and frozen yogurts, make for some tough decisions, but hey, summer is usually at least three months long in western New York.
