I was hoping to find a place like this 11/29/2006

I recently moved to College Station, and haven't been able to find many coffee shops that aren't Starbucks. I really enjoy the atmosphere that locally owned coffee shops like Sweet Eugene's offers. They're coffee is good, and they have a nice variety of snacks too! The only thing is that on evenings during the week, there are usually quite a bit of college students studying (or talking) - so if you're going there to study and need quiet - I'd suggest bringing some headphones :) There are couches, tables, and chairs everywhere - and the place is fairly large for a coffee shop, I think. more

Best coffee shop in Aggieland 8/11/2005

If you happen to be in College Station and want a fun and unique place to grab a cup of coffee, head to Eugene's. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is good too! Their java shakes (something akin to a frappucino) are good and they have a number of unique flavors. They have a nice patio outside if you prefer the outdoors and they are open late. Be careful trying to head over there toward the end of the school semester, as it is often full of students studying for finals. Oh, they also sell donuts now, so you can hang out there for breakfast if you wish! more

sweet eugene's 8/11/2005

I dont particularly enjoy coffee but a lot of people do. sweet eguenes is a great hangout for friends and students always seem to hangout there or meet to study. I am not a big coffee drinker but from what i've tasted and heard from friends this is the place to be. located on harvey avenue next to fuddrucker's sweet eugene's house of java is one place worth visitng. more
