Sweet Dreams was a life saver for me this past week. My best friend for the past 101/2 years was very recently diagnosed with kidney disease. Affter researching the disease and treatments, I realized we were past any point of reasonable recovery. Cody declined quickly and I struggled with the logistics of letting him go. I knew he was ready and it was the only loveing thing I could do for him to stop his suffering. The problem was I had to get him to the vet (he used to love car rides, but would have be laying in the back of the SUV by himself during the ride), carrying him into the vet's office, signing the paperwork while still holding him so I wouldn't have to put him down on the cold floor, and then putting him on a cold table, having him held down by people he didn't know. While I do love the vet and his staff, all this strees is not what I wanted for Cody and, to be honest, for myself.
