I am very sorry that the experiences the previous reviewers had were bad, and hope they have been able to find better care and facilities than what they felt they had.\r

In writing reviews, opinions do vary. However, in expressing a negative experience, care needs to be taken that slander (libel) is not attached to such comments. Expressing negative experiences by using the facts associated with the experience is not slander. Saying a Dr.'s ""cocktail hour"" is more important to him than a child's pain is speculative at best, in that does he actually have a ""cocktail hour"", or even drinks for that matter, let alone puts that above a childs pain. Suggesting such could be libel.\r

That said, I will give my own review of Swedish West Seattle. I have not had the unfortunate problems of unreturned phone calls. Dr. Guerra is my husband's PCP. He has had very positive experiences with his medical care with Dr. Guerra. He suggested I see Dr. Guerra, as my PCP had retired. I have had exceptional services from him, his assistant, the staff and an on call doctor over a weekend. (After the on-call Dr. had called me back, he also called later in the day to see how I was doing and called me the following day as well.) Just today, and the reason I am writing a review, is because I got a call back from Dr. Guerra's assistant within 5 minutes after leaving a message. I wanted to write a review because I am so pleased I have a Dr. and staff I can depend on. I called yesterday, a little after 5:00 p.m., so I wasn't sure anyone would be there. The scheduling person was there and said she would have Dr. Guerra's assistant call me back. Ten minutes later I got a call from Dr. Guerra himself. This is not the only time I have received a call back from Dr. Guerra ""after hours""; I have had numerous returned calls from him ""after hours"". I am sure that he has other patients he is scheduled to see during the day, so I don't expect an instant call back, whenever I call. However, I have always received a call back, a couple times after 6:00 p.m. (What time is ""cocktail hour""?)\r

West Seattle Swedish's elavator is slow and the building isn't the best. It might have been when it was new. I really appreciate the local clinic regardless. I do not drive freeways, if the clinic wasn't in West Seattle I would have to take the bus to get medical care.\r

Sometimes I have to hold for awhile when I call to schedule an appointment. I am not the only person that is ill, it is no surprise that I might have to wait.\r
\r
Thank you to the staff, Dr. Guerra and his assistant, and to the on-call doctor at Swedish West Seattle Clinic.\r
