Visited Sutro 3 times, in both the main room and the bar. For a SF landmark restaurant they should be serving more exciting food or at least better executed food. 1st visit the food was the most diappointing part, the wine list, and then the casual service. visits to the bar, we were not given proper menus, had to ask many times for them. server stated that she could tell us all the wines available. we ordered a cocktail to start, food, then '96 (or '97) DomP, she spilled the first pour. the most appauling display of service was when we ordered sparking water...she brought the bottle and placed 2 glasses down and walked away, twice! To finish the espresso was as flat as coffee, no crema at all. we spent close to $300. returned the 3rdx for drinks only, still disappointed.
Pros: view
Cons: service, food
