Trendy but ultimately disappointing. Went by for a late lunch. Loved this place for late-night drinks & exotic sushi in the past. However, lunch service was slow (45 mins for a bento box). Food was very average but pricey. Would nit recommend for lunch, but colorful night-spot with good fusion elements. more

the service is not great could be way better epically for location went a sat and it was very busy but got seated right away.. waiter took longer than usual to attend us and to take the order they gave us more than enough time but it really wasnt that bad...its very trendy n everyone is very well dressed. it definitely has a miami beach/vice feel to it which i love. the food was GREAT everything was cooked as requested more

This is my second dining at this restuarant and the service is very inconsistant. It took the entire time to use the restroom and more until the server greeted our table. then the food took forever to come out and we just ordered miso soup, edemame, and one roll. Then the server asked how everything is after our app came out and then he disappeared till I asked the host we needed the check. You expect 18 percent when your service deserved 10 percent. The restuarant is very nice but the people are very unfriendly except for a few. Someone would have to shoot me to make me eat there again. more

Generally excellent. The Chilean Sea Bass was stunning, yet the Teriyaki chicken was a touch bland. The Rock Salt Tempura Shrimp was amazing. Thoroughly recommendable. more

Samba is the best! No matter what I'm in the mood for Samba has it covered! Sushi, steak, oysters, ceviche, sake or mojitos - the best! Also, Neo-Tokyo roll is a must-have every visit! more

I'd like to self proclaim myself to be a sushi connoisseur and I have to say that this was average. I've had way better sushi at way cheaper prices. The server was good and the ambience was cool (as probably all the Sushi Sambas are).... more

Wanted a quick snack on Lincoln rd. 10 minutes after we placed our order, another couple sat down and ordered. 20 min after that their food arrived and we were still waiting for a new water (1st had a bug in it). Then the waitress seemed suprised that our food hadn't come out yet and said she would check. We waited another 25 minutes then confused and starving we started getting up to leave. She had never come back to tell is the resut. We ordered 2 standard rolls! Shrimp tempura and spicy tuna and edamame! As we got up, the careless waitress finallycame towards us. She told us not that she never put the order in, but that the tempura was battering. That was enough. As we said thanks she got an attitude and said we could leave if we wanted to. The food might be good. That is if you could get it. We went at a down time. I wonder what it would be like at lunch or dinner time! By the way, planet sushi on Washington between 8 & 9 was amazing. more

Great rolls and sake 11/24/2008

Great sushi...they do not go cheap on the fish in the rolls like some places do. Also, the sake was great...waiter was informative...although i felt like he tried to rush us in the end by pouring all of our sake into our glasses...which we did not want to do b/c we wanted to keep it warm until we were ready to finish it. Other than that, everything was great! Pros: Generous portion of fish in rolls Cons: Waiter tried to turn the table too quickly more

Awesome Food in Great Location 7/28/2008

As a native New Yorker and frequent Sushi Samba goer in NYC I had to try the famous restaurant chain's outpost in South Beach. And sure enough it did not disappoint. The ambiance mixed with the delectable food and even better cocktails proved to be the best dinner I had during my trip to Miami. Pros: Ambiance, Food, Drinks Cons: nothing more

not worth it 5/13/2008

Although the ambiance is fun and interesting, it is definately not worth the price. The service is slow and the servers do not take the time to explain the food or refill drinks. The portions are really small and it takes about an hour between courses to get your food. The food was good but nothing special. You are mostly paying for eating in South Beach.\r more

Best Calamari in Miami! 11/17/2007

When my friends pick this place I was a little unsure but WOW was I happy she did when I got there! The decor is great so when I first walked in I really like what I saw. The service was great the wait staff was so patience and nice, I dine with a large group so we had a lot of questions as first time dining experience at sushi samba dromo. The menu is very diverse it was something there for everyone. The manager sent over complimentary appetizers to the table and that is when I tasted the best calamari on the beach it was different and great a must try (!Chicharron de Calamar :cornmeal-crusted calamari with tamarind sauce, tomato salsa & plantain Pros: food, ambience, service more
