Best

I've been going to Sushi Thai for a few years for their $1 sushi and spicy basil. I went a few days ago and found out that they had totally changed their sushi menu and prices, n...

Worst

Sushi and price is ok but Thai food fis pricey and the portion is small

REALLY GOOD 11/3/2006

great sushi and thai food. prompt seating, beautiful atmosphere, intricate hand carved tables, tropical fish aquarium, always friendly staffand all at a very reasonable price. more

Good food, poor service 6/20/2006

The food was very good, however I didn't feel very welcome. The waiter was rude and not very accomodating but the food was very tasty more

Stellar sashimi - average sushi 4/22/2006

This is worth a trip if you are in the neighborhood but its not a destination restaurant. The sushi ranges from average to below average. Recommended -- tuna and salmon sashimi, miso soup. The edamame are very good if you look them highly salted. Pros: sashimi Cons: sushi more

GREAT 2/14/2006

good sushi at cheap price..everyone is friendly..it is an odd location but the food and prices make up for that Pros: food, service more

Love love 8/30/2005

I love the ginger dressing at this place! They have great priced sushi very fresh! Pros: Fresh, Timely more

Great stuff 6/5/2005

Let's see.....impeccable service (probably the best of any Raleigh restaurant), fresh sushi, super prices ($1.00 sushi for dinner), and the owner works every night to make sure things are done right. You can't go wrong with this place if you want it all. Give it a try and quickly become a regular. Pros: great service, excellent prices, fresh food more

Bad sushi 5/10/2005

I went there for $1 sushi specials, and it was very bad. The rice tasted very weird, and the fish was thinly sliced. It was the worst sushi I had in my life, and I cannot believe that they can call it sushi. The ambience and the service were great. We did not order any Thai food, but it seemed that they specialized in Thai food, and I would give it a try. However, this is definitely not a place to get sushi. more

Superb Herb 6/9/2004

The wait staff and sushi chefs are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. The food is very fresh. The atmosphere is clean and has that Japanese/Thai flair. My husband and I go there a lot and love it! more

Substanial Menu 6/8/2004

Sushi Thai is a good Asian restaurant that offers many options. The $1.00 sampler menu is an especially good value that allows customers a varied selection. Watch out for the tempura; however, it can be excessively greasy. more

Went for $1 special 12/6/2003

I had heard about Sushi Thai's $1 special, so my wife and I went to check it out. It was very crowded, but we were seated immediately. After that, it was all downhill. The $1 pieces were small and not especially fresh, and the rolls were sloppily and hastily made. Ther service was slow, though friendly. Nothing foodwise was worth the drive to return, however. Pros: Seated quickly, Neptune Roll was good, friendly workers Cons: small portions, Food was sloppy, Slow service more

Great Sushi - Great Price! 11/20/2003

Excellent, fresh and beautifully presented sushi as it's best AND at the best prices you'll see anywhere in town. Great friendly and smiling staff and Tony's a hoot! They have all the usual sushi favorites (actually I eat it sashimi-style) AND my unique favorites of Amaebi (sweet shrimp with the head fried up and presented as well... tasty!), Unagi and whole baby octopus. Great place and my all time favorite. Pros: Fresh sushi, Great prices, Friendly staff more

Great food and atmosphere 10/1/2003

I went there last night after many recommendations for the place, and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was amazing; I loved the tables with the elephants and the jungle carved into them (it looks better than the way I described it!). The food was delicious as well; hubby got Pad Thai and a Thai spring roll and I got the Tom Kha soup and red curry with vegetables. Everything was just divine. We'll definitely go back. Pros: Atmosphere, food, prices OK Cons: not good if you don't, like spicy food. more

I love sushi! 8/30/2003

My friends and I eat at Sushi-Thai as often as we can...The Thai food is good (though not the best I've had), but the sushi is delicious. It's always fresh and carefully prepared--I highly recommend the spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and bagel rolls. In addition, the wait staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. I would recommend eating at Sushi-Thai in the evenings when the price of sushi is reduced--the lunch menu can get pricy (especially if you don't care for the lunch specials). Pros: Great Sushi, Friendly wait staff more

Best Sushi & Thai in town 8/26/2003

We go to the Lake Boone Trail restaurant very frequently. The service and food are fabulous. Looking forward to their sister restaurant Wasabi, to open. If these people are doing it; it has to be good. Pros: fresh food, spicy food, nice waiters more

Pricey Thai food 8/24/2003

Sushi and price is ok but Thai food fis pricey and the portion is small more

$1 sushi 8/21/2003

For the price it was good. I had a great spider roll. The service was a little slow but that is expected at a busy place. The curry shrimp was good also. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Crowded more

Not worth it 5/27/2003

THe place may look nice but thats about all. Of all the japanese restuarants i've been at- this was the most overpriced for the quality. The food was greasy, lacked taste other than soy sauce, and their chef has no idea what is remotely authentic. Our table was ignored, and we all vowed never to eat there again Cons: Poor Quality, Over Priced, Bad Service more

The only place for Thai food 2/18/2003

This is far and away the only place in Raleigh to get Thai food. The food is great and the staff courteous. Not really the place for sushi but the only place for Thai. more

WoooooHooooooo 2/1/2003

Sushi-Thai rocks. The sushi was great. The fried rice was fantastic. And they even allowed the kids to eat McDonalds at the table with us. more

GOOD Prices 1/31/2003

The sushi here is pretty good, but for the price it is excellent--$1 sushi in the evening. If you are looking for sushi on a budget--that isnt bad tasting either--this is the place to go. Also, the atmosphere is really nice and it seems pretty authentic (but I have never been to Japan--so what do I know). Pros: Great prices, nice atmosphere Cons: poor service more
