Sushi-Sake Japanese Restaurant

My husband has been eating at this place since it opened, over 8 years ago. I have been going for the last 3 years. Of all the places in Dallas, this one is our favorite. We regard ourselves as fairly strict sushi-judgers as he has had it in Japan and I've eaten alot of it in CA. We eat at sushi at least every two weeks, if not more often, and 99% of the time, we choose Sushi Sake. I have NEVER had any bad sushi at this place and all of the chefs are awesome. They treat us like family when we come and every time is a wonderful experience. The only con I could think of would be that it's a little small and you sometimes have to wait a few, but now that they are moving to a bigger building, that's not a concern! I have eaten here several times and have yet to have a bad experience. Even if you don't sit at the bar, it is great. I have eaten lunch and dinner. My favorite is to sit at the Sushi bar as the Sushi Chefs suggest new things that are awesome. I haven't had anything there that I didn't like. The only con would be that it has limited seating, but the turnover is fairly fast. Pros: Friendly Service, Fresh Food, Casual Atmosphere Cons: Limited seating, none, none more

This place used to be a nice quick place to eat sushi near my home. The key words here are ""USED TO BE."" After some time, I decided to go back to try it, and it was such a mistake! The sushi was not fresh at all, and the cooked rolls were cold. On top of that, the service was just horrible. The manager had a bad and arrogant attitude, which made our whole time there not enjoyable. The servers seemed angry and rushed, which I'm guessing is the fault of the manager's attitude. About the only positive thing at this place is the nice sushi chefs, but that doesn't make up for bad sushi and bad service!! I gave this place two tries (one dinner, and one lunch) and they were bad both times. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! This place was my first experience with Sushi. I have been to Sushi Sake several times and have yet to find a place that compares. The food FRESH, the people are FABULOUS and very CLEAN! Pros: fresh, friendly, family Cons: none, none, none more
