Great Sushi Spot.\r \r \r We had a great birthday lunch at the Sushi Yusho. They make us happy.\r Authentic Japanese Cuisine and Fresh Sashimi and Sushi.\r They have been around the Ventura County for 35 years. \r I made the reservation for a lunch for ten of us the day before the B-day party.\r We got there at 12 noon and got out at 1 p.m. as we expected. We all had bento box lunches and we were served in a great timing. The bento boxes with sushi, sashimi, vegetable gyoza, shrimp/vegetable tempura, and chicken or salmon teriyakis with bowl of rice, miso soup, and some condiments. It was great... Everything was so fresh. The green salad on the bento box was fresh as well. They gave us free bowl of green tea and azuki ice-cream and some mochi ice-cream with candle and b-day songs.\r \r We had a great time we will definitely go back again.\r more

• Sushi Yusho means the sushi winners and is the best quality sushi in the Ventura County area. The owners Steve and Judy, They are awesome people. The sushi Chefs (Steve and Kenny) THEY KNOW SUSHI! Steve has been doing this business over 35 years just in Ventura County. When he was young, he even served former U.S President Nixon in D.C. You come to this place for the amazing sushi. The fish is ALWAYS fresh, so fresh that Steve will joke around about catching the fish himself that morning. You will find the best albacore, yellowtail, salmon, and tuna at any given time at Yusho. I wish I could keep Yusho a secret but they deserve the business. The food is very reasonably priced and the rolls are fair. My favorite rolls are the Lizzy, NPHS class 2012, Love, the Pink, VIP, Volcano, and the Crunch Roll. Every local Yusho customers are a loyal dedicated one because we know it's the best. If you want the best, you go to Sushi Yusho. If you go and they are busy, try not to get frustrated with the service. They're a small family owned restaurant and do the best they can to take care of everyone. Like I said, the quality is worth it and that's what you go for. Usually it's very quick, and I highly recommend the sushi bar to get on a personal level with the two great chefs. more

It started out as one of my first dates with my now Wife, and we've been going there ever since. It's been nearly three years that we've been dining at Sushi Yusho and I must say, it just gets better and better. The staff and owners are so genuine that I can honestly say that we've become friends, even the kitchen staff welcomes us everytime we come in! Not only that, but they've even celebrated the birth of my first Baby Girl, and have placed her birth announcement on their bar and have left it there for the past four months! And no, it's not one of their's!\r \r I've been eating sushi since I was eight years old (now 32), have lived in about ten cities across five states, and no other sushi restaurant can even hold a candle to the quality that Sushi Yusho puts out on a daily basis. Aji, Spanish Mackeral, is my favorite fish which anywhere else says is seasonal, I call Shenanagins! If this were to be true...why does Sushi Yusho always have it! I'll tell you why...it's because of Steve Kuge's, Yusho's owner, constant attention and desire to provide nothing but the best for his patrons.\r \r Sushi Yusho's chefs, comprised of Steve Kuge, his brother Kenny, and Rick, are some of the most innovative ""Sushi Artists"" I've ever encountered. Forget the ordinary rolls that all sushi restaurants have, have faith in the chef's abilities and tell them what fish or vegatables you like, they'll go ahead and make a custom roll for you! The sushi is the best around. I have had a lot of sushi in the area, and nothing compares to Sushi Yusho. Also, the size of the servings is very large, and yet the cost is still average or below. After trying any & all sushi in the area, Sushi Yusho is my first choice for value & great tasting sushi. The sushi chefs and staff are very accommodating and friendly, with a wonderful sense of humor (I love that!). The atmosphere is casual, yet great for a date or family. Yusho is very reasonably priced in comparison to other sushi in the area, with good sized portions. I am happy to be a regular customer! This place is gaining popularity, so try to avoid the peak hours. Love the Uni, Toro, Tempura, Udon. more

What can I say about Sushi Yusho! Steve, Kenny, Judy, Kawa all are really great people who take pride in serving FRESH delicious food in a really nice atmosphere. I try to have the same thing everytime I come in, The Sashimi Lunch. Includes Miso Soup, Tsukemono, Salad, and Rice all for about $13.95 and in my opinion a real bargain. I love this place and I think that Sushi Yusho is a real asset to the community. If you like rolls, try the Lizzy Roll or the Arnold Roll. WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO EAT!! I highly recommend Sushi Yusho for your next sushi experience if you have not already done it. As what Mr. Frank in his food critic's review, Yusho's sushi is the best in Ventura County. Their sushi and the Japanese authentic food are outstanding. They make their own sauces freshly everyday, and they use their top secret ingredients. It is a truly awsome experience. The price is reasonable. Their Sukiyaki, teriyaki, and their lobster dinners are wonderful as well. One of my friends who sat right next to me said he is happy to experience Yusho's because their sukiyaki tastes just like the way his mom used make it for him when he was a kid in Japan. That is why he comes to Yusho's, he said. That's good enough for me to try their authentic Japanese food, and it truly is. See you there soon! more

The people are talking about Sushi Yusho all over the town and countywide. Within the groups of folks who live around the Ventura County is talking about how good the Sushi Yusho is. With that, I tried their Sushi and it is truly awsome. The Uni was the sweetest I ever tasted, the Japanese Ahi, and the Mirugai was alive. The price is very reasonable too for its freshness and sweetness. They have the interesting customer-created sushi and it is worth try to creat your own. The Yusho will make your own sushi for you (custom made) and if it is good, they will even put it on their menu for you with your own name on it. They are so friendly and welcoming you. In my ongoing search for the best sushi in the Conejo Valley, Yosho is now in first place. The sushi is always fresh and of incomparable taste and consistency. Wide selection of traditional Japanese style sushi as well as very wide selection of original, creative Americanized rolls, many with delicious dipping sauces. The Yosho House Roll is to die for. Several rolls are not as huge as usual, so diners still have an appetite for other items. Also, there is a complete menu of traditional non-sushi dishes (teriaki, tempura, etc.).
