I have been going to Sushi Q for about 5 years now. Eddie the head chef has remembered me by name since my first visit!

This little hole in the wall place was not in the best location but the food made it soooo worth it. Tucson has a great place called Sushi Garden and it's a all you can eat place as well and we were looking for the same thing here in Phoenix and we have finally found it. Sushi Q's sushi is great small but very good food will be going back! Pros: Taste Great! Cons: Location Not All That Great more

Great deal on made to order sushi 8/17/2008

We've been to Sushi Q several times now when the urge for good sushi hits. Although a few bucks more than some other sushi places, its well worth it for the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The selection on the all you can eat sushi menu also includes hot sushi, tempura, and other items not available at other AYCE sushi place's menus. Sitting at the sushi bar is a treat with the feel of your local neighborhood watering hole. Everything is prepared fresh and presented better than expected. The only thing that will deduct points on your visit will be the location and some of the colorful local transients. The food is great. And you will save BIG over the popular North Scottsdale names. Don't expect the Borgata. more

Best All You Can Eat Sushi 8/17/2008

My husband and I were reluctant to eat here because of the location but finally decided to after reading other reviews. After walking inside we were put at ease by the clean and pleasant environment. The all you can eat sushi is defiantly the way to go here! The sushi is good quality and while it's not the best sushi I ever had, it's great for all you can eat. The price is far below any other all you can eat sushi we have found and the list of sushi is huge and includes tempura and a few other non sushi items! It is defiantly not a limited list and the portions are great. If you love sushi and want to try a variety this is defiantly the way to go. more

GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!! 6/28/2008

My boyfriend and I just got through eating there and we were both so impressed with the restaurant that I created this account to tell you about it. Pros: everything else Cons: parking more

Best sushi ever! 5/24/2008

My buddy and I went on a weekday and it was incredible! I tried out the all you can eat but found I couldn't eat that much... still a great value. My buddy got the bento box which was also very tasty. Would highly recommend Sushi Q. Pros: large portions, great prices Cons: not located in best part of town. more

Fantastic Find For Sushi Lovers; Best Sushi Value In Phoenix; Marginal Wait Staff Service 10/22/2006

First of all, I've visited this place at least 20 times in the last couple years. Never, ever have I gotten sick from the food or sushi. In fact, I trust this Sushi chef better than other places. The owner is often the chef, or his brother, so they care about quality. The cut nice, thick slices of fish that are at least 1.5 to 2 times the size of other places, so their sushi is a value. They have an all you can eat for $23 that is excellent if you can eat a lot of Sushi. Same price for lunch and dinner. What makes this different is that it isn't a buffet. If you sit at the bar, and check off what you want, it is delivered by the chef as it is made... which makes for a much more authentic experience. Careful that you don't order too much up front... order about half of what you think you will want, then when you done with that, order again for just under what you think you will eat, and then order one last roll or set of pieces before you go. They supposedly will charge you for uneaten sushi, and you don't want to have to stuff yourself. Also, their lunchtime Bento boxes are a steal. Great tempura, salad, rice, miso, and a california roll for under $7. Cons: some of their servers are frankly horrible, especially given the tips they receive on a two person all-you-can eat tab. They have TV's, which is crazy, as it really detracts from the whole experience. Lately they turn them down. For the best experience, I recommend couples sitting at the bar to get great fresh Sushi promptly from the chef. Also, they have a fantastic Sake Bomber with a giant Kirin beer and a container of sake for only $4 most evenings. Definately worth a couple getting one and sharing it, even if you only drink part of it. A great bargain, and cheaper than ordering either separately. So come here for a fast, filling Bento box lunch, or a great deal on all-you-can eat sushi and rolls. It may not be the finest sushi available, but it represents the very best bargain. Enjoy! Pros: Sushi Quantity; Sushi Value; Sushi Experience/Ambience, Bento Box Lunches Cons: TV's in dining room, wait staff friendliness/response time more

NOT GOOD ON THE DAY I WENT. MADE ME AND MY FRIEND VERY SICK! AND IT WASN'T BECAUSE IT WAS AN ALL - YOU -CAN- EAT PLACE! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU HAVE EVEN AVERAGE EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS PLACE. CONSUMER BEWARE. ALL YOU CAN EAT ISN'T ALWAYS GOOD. more

Great price for good sushi 8/7/2005

Sushi Q has an all you can eat sushi option that is great for those of us who can consume ALOT of sushi. I liked the fact they dont limit you to what sushi you can choose from. It's not the best sushi but it is very good. Pros: Inexpensive, Quiet Dinning Cons: Service a bit slow more

i love this place! 7/29/2005

what more is there to say? awesome sushi, great price, and comfortable environment. more

Not for amatures! 6/12/2005

Not a good place for a first time sushi experience. Huge portions of sushi! Not the best quality, however, the BEST squid I have ever had. Very good value, all you can eat sushi for 20 bucks! Pros: Inexpensive, Huge portions Cons: Not best quality more

Two bites 5/17/2004

Two bites is what it takes for me to down a chunk of sushi at Sushi Q. Seriously a good value. Great sushi and they are not affraid to cut a larger piece for you unlike the tuna that you can read a newspaper through like some other valley sushi bars (ie RA Sushi). Give it a try because I am not one to typically write a review Pros: Inexpensive, Good Value more
