Our experience with Surreal Systems was great. From the very beginning, Matt came by and helped us spec a system that is ideal for our house. We were doing an extensive remodel, and I told Matt the best part of the remodel experience was the home entertainment system. Matt tells you exactly what he is going to do and he does it. They put in a TV, speakers in several rooms, and a gaming system. And, they put all of the electronics in a media cabinet in a closet. The only thing outside the closet is the TV and the remote. Surreal Systems came out, evaluated the situation, and made good recommendations. They were timely in their delivery and in setting up the appointment. They also sent a follow up letter to confirm what we discussed before they did the work. When Surreal Systems did the work they were very clean. They set up our TV, surround sound, and a universal remote, which is the best thing ever. When they left I didn't even have to vacuum the carpet. It looked fantastic, and they sent a thank-you follow up email. They were completely first rate. I was very impressed with their service. We were so impressed with them personally that we had them back to install surround sound in our office conference room. Use them! I would highly recommend them. I met Matt through a referral and I have never been more satisfied. I actually flew him and his crew to my home on an island, and his group did everything from wiring and installation to set up and additional maintenance before they went back on the plane. There are never any excuses, and Matt is available until 10:00 at night if I need a password or any other issues. I don't think a day as gone by that I do not show someone my remote cam, temperature, and light controls from my iPhone. It has been a very good experience. In fact, I plan to make changes to that home and I will have him do my house in Fullerton. I am a general contractor with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. I have dealt with hundreds of AV contractors and as long as Surreal Systems is around, I will pay his fees and employ him where I can. Matt is like the AV industry version of me. It is rare you find people who are as dedicated, hardworking, fair, and honest. Surreal Systems has done several projects for me. Initially it was a setup of a new property including television, audio and exterior speakers. Since then, they've added flat screen, wall-mounted TVs, and satellite boxes. They're really good at response, their prices are good, they're licensed and bonded. They're always answering the phone, they always call back, they're super friendly. Matt is always super nice to talk to and super knowledgeable. I knew a little bit, I've always been an audiophile, but I've learned stuff from Matt about new technology and whole house automation. I would tell potential customers to feel free to call me for a reference. They're great at what they do. In fact, I belong to a networking group that has someone who does exactly what Surreal Systems does, and I still choose to use Surreal. more

I have been in the process of remodeling my home for the past 8 months, and I was contemplating purchasing a larger T.V. to mount on my wall. My son introduced me to Surreal Systems because he is a friend of one of the installers. I did not think I was going to have time to make all the decisions I needed to make before I had to have unexpected surgery, but Matt guided me through the process; and they made my home beautiful, easy to work with technically, and gave me peace of mind, knowing that when I came home I would be able to recover and all would be finished! Surreal Systems did an outstanding job. We wanted to put together a pretty extensive home entertainment system. We wanted ideas because we did not really know what to look for, and we found them to be very helpful. Surreal Systems had to work around 3 big deficiencies. A 60' HDMI cable that was installed and rendered useless by inferior installation from a previous group, A high-end preamp obtained from this same group which had serious problems. A less than professional installation on the wiring of the components. Surreal Systems has corrected all the above along with the completion of my 7.1 (including sub-woofer) surround system, a wall hung 65" Plasma monitor and a complete overhaul of my universal remote. Professionalism at its finest is what they provide. more

We weren't sure of what we wanted to do when we decided to redo the family room's audio and visual system. We knew we wanted the TV in a certain spot and the availability to adjust everything without a lot of work. We also wanted to be able to hide all the equipment so that we could only see the TV and mounted speakers. Surreal Systems was able to do all of that beautifully. We had someone else build the cabinets, but Surreal Systems worked so well with the contractors it was almost painless. They made sure there was enough room for all our equipment. The whole process was pleasant and non-intrusive. Surreal Systems also took the time to make sure everything was at the eye level we wanted based on our furniture so that we could veiw it from wherever we wanted, including the kitchen and outdoor area. They thought of those things which we did not take into account. The people Matt has working for him are phenomenal. They understand and are respectful of your time and space. They have a very calming and down-to-earth approach. Though they are extremely professional, they do not talk over our level when explaining things. They know their customers want it done in a reasonable time and correctly so that there are no problems down the road. Surreal Systems does all of that and more. They took so much time to make sure we understood everything. The remote we have looks so complicated, but they made it simple to understand. It is a beautiful installation. People constantly comment on how nice it looks. It is easy to see that is was professionally done, and it makes our family room very state of the art. The finished product and result is absolutely amazing. more
