What a disappointing experience we endured with Surner Heating. The assessment completed on our house was completing botched – the result was a bid that jumped up thousands. Representative Bernie Rock didn’t account for inadequate return ducts. Horrible customer service – excuse after excuse, the common theme was they were “too busy”. When we weren’t getting an excuse we were blatantly ignored. Never got a call back from management either. Invoices were void of details. Work order never provided. Details never provided either. Big details like Parts and Labor. I made a good faith payment after waiting 6 months for a reply with yet another plea for an account review. Surner’s response? A late fee added to our bill. I’ll pay the late fee AND I will buy our oil from a competitor. Looking for a new furnace? AVOID SURNER HEATING. more

AVOID this company for your airconditioning needs. we had them come out to fix our a/c unit that was only 7 years old at the time. after many visits to our house the guy finally asked "well how much do you want to put into this thing" when we responded "until its fixed" they recommended we buy a whole new unit for $4,000 which we stupidly did. now 3 years later our a/c broke again. we called on a friday afternoon and they made us wait until tuesday morning in the middle of a heat wave to come out to fix it as they said they only come over nights/weekends for "medical emergencies" (i guess being pregnant with 4 young kids in 100+ degree weather was not of importance to them). they came and "fixed it" and the next day it broke again. they came again and "fixed it" again, it broke again less than 2 hours later. when i inquired about the warranty since it was only 3 years old they gave me an long answer that basically avoided my question. when i asked how much it would be to replace the pa more

We are college students and have ordered oil from this company three times this winter.Most recently, we called on empty and by the time they arrived the next day we had run out. They gave us our oil but when asked if they were going to restart the heat our driver said no. Granted it was not originally asked for, but he came into our house to get our check and must have felt that it was only 50 degrees!! When we called to ask what happened they said it wasn't originally requested and tried to charge us an additional $80 to come back and restart the heat! I talked to the receptionist who was exceptionally rude and then spoke to an owner. He would not reduce our fine to the simple $35 it would have cost had the restart been done at the time. He did cut us down to $50, but as college students that is still too much! We have spent well over $1000 on heat this winter alone and the fact that Surner Heating couldn't understand our plight is very upsetting. more

I have used surner in two of my three homes. I had left them once for another company and quickly returned. They are incredibly responsive for emergency service needs and their pricing is reasonable. They have contract and payment plans for oil service. The front staff is always great on the phone. more
