I knew I had debt and said what I can budget. There was an instant agreement and no haggling. It was as easy as calling the number given. I do wish there were more mailed bills updating me on how much I have already paid and how much I still owe. Other than that, I know if they want my money I know I can give it on my terms, I assume as long I am intending to pay. more

You people are not ""entitled"" to any appropriateness or professionalism, nor does your opinion of any collectors proffesionality count. If indeed the debt was not yours it is not the companies responsibility to clear it up via credit reporting agencies and original client, IT""S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. If they rolled over everytime a deadbeat cried foul, they would be out of business. The fact is I GUARANTEE most of you owe money, and this isn't the only collection company chasing your trashy ass. The fact that you are complaining means they are effective and doing their job. And also....YOU don't get to choose anymore, you're stuck dealing with them till YOU get it cleared up. P. works with me and understands. If it wasn't for P. they would be sitting on this debt. I will only speak with P. because the other people there are morons. He flat out told me to speak with him alone. That said I have to rate this company as an epic failure. I lucked out and was assigned to a good rep. Everyone else I've spoken with is dumber than a rock. Pros: One account manager knows what he's doing. Cons: Most of the staff have no clue. more

Rude and very disrespectful 11/2/2009

I called these people back, grant it i do owe some money. I tried to explain I'm in a middle of a divorce with children. I explained that i do have full intentions on making payment after my divorce is final and I will not know what my payment will look like until approx 30 days from now. the lady (JUNE) indicated she didn't care and that my payment will be well over what i make monthly. June was Very rude, disrespectful and very cold hearted. She was also threatning and that is not how people do business, especially not knowing who's on the other end. Cons: No help whatsoever more

I called in to pay my hospital bill sent to collections..after being put on hold continuously, I spoke to TIM the ""account manager"" I offered to make 4 monthly payments, and he flat out refused my offer, I told him I could not afford any more, and he said ""I don't Care"", I asked to speak to a Supervisor, JUNE came on the phone, she was worse than TIM, she refused my offer for payment, spoke to me like I was 3 years old, and told me to be quiet, and I told her to speak to me like an adult, I do have a college education after all, she replied "" Well good for you (My Name), then you should be able to figure out how to pay your bill!"" I will Never pay them a cent, I do not trust them. I will call my original creditor and pay directly. I am also going to complain to the Better B B. Not recommended!! I was calling to pay a Tep Electric bill for $65 that I overlooked after moving in with my fiance. The rep asked me where I am currently living, so I verfied my PO Box thinking he wanted my mailing address. Well I Guessed WRONG. He was extrememly rude and asked ""How do you get electric power?"" I asked how that is relevant to my calling up to pay this bill,he was even MORE rude and said that he has the ""power"" to turn off the electric from where I am living because I have not paid this bill!! Ok, so I can TRY to understand this policy IF I owed a $500 bill, and I was now a harbored fugitive(in their eyes) because I now live with someone else and THEIR name is on the electric, BUT I do NOT owe that much money, nor do I feel it is LEGAL for this collection agency to ask for a current address in order to cause problems with WHOMEVER I may be living with because TEP wants to get paid!! Just like all other creditors out there TEP has to go through the same hoops, right? If I dont pay my credit card bill, they don't call the water co. and hang me out to dry!! So it gets or worse. I dont even want to talk to this crazy guy about the legalities of this any more I just want to PAY the thing,its a $10 charge for cards so I ask about a check over the phone.This guy proceeded to talk down to me and tell me I COULD mail it in MA'AM! -OR- I could CALL BACK and talk to someone else if I'd like. If I'd like? Why would I like to call back I just want to pay this bill, so I asked two more times about a check over the phone and he finally said he could take a check at no charge but he doesn't WANT TO and so he is going to transfer me to someone else!! The next woman (sabrina) was very nice and said she would TALK to him. WOW is it really that hard to hire people these days? The worst part is that I feel that I am somehow paying for this guy to be this rude to me-I pay TEP, who pays this company, who hired THIS guy and he doesn't WANT TO take my payment! GREEAAAT!! I can remember being hassled for a while by this collection agency. Being 18 in 2005, I wasn't very understanding. Now, being 23, I understand they were just doing thier job. My husband couldn't believe it either so he called her back and got the branch manager ""JO"", and he hung up on my husband because he is more rude than joan so we do know who is doing the office training these days! First.... I owe a debt (400 or so), I will pay. Call from Marcela, Jessica, Sam, Alexis, Erin, June. Man these are some uptight people. I would jump off a cliff before working a job that makes me go to work everyday just to push people around and hang up on them. Oh the anger. How can a person go home at night and not feel like floater in the toilet everyday. A $400. debt became a $1300. debt without explanation so naturally I asked why. I was immediatly accused of not being cooerative. All they wanted was when and how I planned to pay this today. They threatened to pull my credit report... woho.. what is that going to do? and send a letter to my place of employment. I don't know about you, but I respond in the same manner I am treated, most of the time, but I was exceptionally curtious to June, just to find out where the additional debt came from. June, supposedly a supervisor hung up on me too. So, I still don't know the answer to my question. You will see that there is a high turnaround at this place and these people have access to our personal records. This is scary! Unless of course they jumped off a cliff because they couldn't live with themselves anymore.... good choice!!! At the bottom of that cliff I can only assume they ended up in a very hot firery hole and greeted by the devil himself. Pros: I got their number! Scott...this is Alexis....need a return call at 741-****. Not even an area code...Thank God for caller ID!!! Where did I meet this person I wonder. Sounds like she's snotty....not calling her back. Is this the kind of representation our Hospitals and consumers deserve, in order to collect a debt??? As an American, it's ones responsibility to pay off their debts. (please remove) I entered a negative rating but they corrected it after reading about it here. Apparently, thye aren't entirely evil, just very busy with a lot of overburdened newbies learning the collections trade. Can this posting service develop a user friendly mode of removing user's post its? I find them not answering my emails and that's just, well for lack of a better word, wack.
