Superior Economy Moving

The movers showed up late to my old place. The company sent one old man and a young boy still in high school. They got lost finding my new place becuse they printed wrong directions off the internet. Then they finally arrived they unloaded the truck for a few minutes and then had to call and check in with their boss. When they got off the phone they told me I needed to give them more cash or they would not finish taking my items off the truck. I was upset because the owner PROMISED me that there would be no hidden cost and that $800 would be my final price. When I asked why I had to pay more they made up reasons that were no where on the contract. I would not recommend you use them. I used this company a few weeks ago and they were incredibly careful and quick. No other mover I have ever used can compare. I plan to use Superior Economy Moving from now on whenever I need something to be moved. They have an A+ rating on www.bbb.com/ they highest possible rating. Better Business Bureau definitely steered me in the correct direction. more

RATED "AA" By the Better Business Bureau We checked them out. The absolute best move we have ever had, they claim an approximate 40% repeat and refeferal rate and I believe them. Polite, Fast, Efficient and they did it for less than the estimate. more

We checked out Superior Economy Moving with the Better Business Bureau as well as a dozen or so other movers. They had a AA rating. All the other movers had poor ratings, we contacted two other movers that had mediocre ratings so we would have 3 estimates.\r \r When we called to get our estimate, the person on the phone was friendly, knowledgable and informative. When the estimator came to our home, he was dressed professionally, he was friendly and offered ideas to help us save money on the move. We knew very little about moving so he gave us what I would call a quick "Moving 101." He told us how to pack properly and how to get prepared for our moving day to ensure everything would be as smoothly as possible. Our closing date moved twice and they again were very accomodating.\r \r Moving Day arrives. Our movers were scheduled to arrive at 8am. Then the guys started moving, they were hard workers and quick too. After a few hours, my wife brought out some iced tea for them and made them stop to take a break. \r \r Our estimate was for 6.5 hours with 4 men. Even after we added items to the move, that we were unable to sell, they stayed very close to the estimate. When the guys were finished, we were so happy with them, we gave them a $200 tip and still felt they deserved more! Superior Economy Moving has raised the bar in the moving industry! We used Superior Economy to move a baby grand piano from Calabasas to Pasadena. They were easy to work with, had lots of available days and times that worked for me, and the truck definitely came on time. Their packing job was careful and they explained the process well. However, their job estimating skills leave something to be desired. The office staff estimated it would take 2-2.5 hours to complete the job when in fact it ended up taking almost 4.5 hours in the end! True, there was more traffic than expected but the breakdown and setup which should have taken 1 hour actually took 2:15. Though the workmen were nice, one or two of them spent most of the time talking instead of working efficiently. The manager at the office isn't easy to talk to when you have a problem either. He offered no remedy; just excuses about why this took longer than normal. Our bill doubled from $200 to over $400. For $400 for a short move, I know I could have found somebody much better.
