this was a good stay. The staff was very accomodating. The room was clean and well furnished. We stayed one night on a business trip and didn't have any complaints at all.

I had a great time in Memphis 12/8/2010

I live in the tropics and am well familiar with cockroaches, but I didn’t see any. The place is obviously past its glory days, but it’s cheap and very clean (the roomcleaning was perfect). The location is idyllic: your next door neighbors are two parks and the mighty Mississippi. They have a reasonably priced shuttle service to downtown Memphis or wherever you want to go. If you are being driven by the manager’s wife, you’re in for a treat: very sweet and helpful, but also full of rage for some reason. When she starts yelling at you, she expects you to yell back – I had a great time in Memphis, thanks to Elvis and her. I miss you, Maina. more

I would stay there again. 12/7/2010

I stayed there for a couple of nights and the staff was very, very, very friendly. Romos were in a good shape and I didn't have to worry about things not working in the room. Internet was really fast; surprisingly for hotels. Overall I would stay there again. more

good place to stop 11/23/2010

I don't see why the other reviewers thought this was in a bad neighborhood; I thought it was fine and felt safe there. The hotel clerk was very friendly and even gave us 2 queen sized beds even though we had only booked a 1 queen bed room.Overall I would recommend this place for anyone who wants a good place to stop by in Memphis. more

I would stay here again. 11/11/2010

My room (1 king bed) was clean, big, and didn't smell or stink. I was right by the front desk/breakfast area but no problems with noise in the morning. The loudest thing were the train whistles nearby, but I'm used to that type of thing and it didn't bother me. TV was big and nice and I liked the couch/table in the room. Bathroom was a little warn, but everything worked and again,everything in it was clean! Breakfast simple, typical,free breakfast- waffles, cereal, pastries, juice, coffee, etc. I did not look at or try out the pool in the back. I would stay here again. more

Great experience... 11/9/2010

We booked this motel thinking that it would be ok for the price. We didn't want to spend a lot on a motel that we wouldn't be at much of the time. We was pleasantly surprised! The motel was nice, though the rooms could use a little updating, it was clean and comfortable. The pool was clean. What impressed us the most was the staff. They were the nicest and most helpful people! Helped with directions, advised of the best places to eat, thinks to see, and told stories of growing up around Elvis! Great experience, would definately stay there again! more

Good; affordable and friendly service; my only concern was some bees or wasps living outside my room on the upper floor but the desk staff was kind enough to move me to another room. It was a good stay. Thanks! - J.J. more

The hotel staff is for the most part very accommodating. The hotel itself seems to be slowly receiving renovations and more are necessary. Overall, I and my guest have enjoyed our experience with this hotel. - Sara C. more

Very nice hotel. Rooms very clean -- Staff excellent , Very helpful and knowledgable. Very nice continental breakfast. I was traveling with 2 senior citizens and my disabled husband. No problems here. Location is great. Close to Graceland, close to Arkansas. Had a wonderful vacation more
