After a very, very long drive, all we wanted was a clean bed to crawl into. We have stayed in a Super 8 hotel before and were not pleased. This hotel has changed our opinion! When...

It was a pleasant experience. I was a little hesistant about the room as it was next to the elevator but it was very quiet. more

Sawyer is a very small town with one hotel a gas station (truck stop) and then one of the best breweries in the country, and great BBQ Greenbush. You can walk there and back from the hotel room. Hotel has no bells and whistles but is clean and comfortable, fairly new. more

Our stay at this hotel was great and without incident. I usually only leave a review if something was bad, but I can tell you we had a very nice stay. The room and the bathroom were clean. There were no parties of little kids so we had the entire pool to ourselves. It was also very clean. Everything was quiet. The location worked well for us. All in all, no complaints and a nice stay. We will return. more

We had a fine stay here. We pulled into the Super 8 because a blizzard blew in out of nowhere, calling an early stop for our road trip. They have my vote for customer service: the associates at the front counter were very friendly. A couple of bulletins on the wall said no pets were allowed, but when we asked about our cat they allowed it. Whether it was because it was a small pet or because of the weather, I don't know, but we were very grateful either way. Our room was fine, clean, TV was great, the continental break fast was fine (waffle machine was a nice touch!)..... I'm trying to remember the Wi-Fi, I believe it was strong (Wi-fi and cleanliness are most important to me). And the price was quite good! Thanks for the shelter from the storm! more

We made a last minute trip to the west side of the Michigan for 4th of July and were thrilled to find anything available. I was skeptical going in but this Super 8 really surprised us. First, do not expect the Ritz Carlton, it is a Super 8 and you do get what you pay for, that being said the room was clean and big enough for my husband, our 3 year old and a pack and play for our 1 year old. It was a little musty at first but nothing opening a window for a bit didn't solve. The staff was helpful and there was a standard continental breakfast in the morning. What really sells this hotel is the LOCATION!!! I have no idea how we got so lucky but the hotel is literally 2 miles from the Warren Dunes State park, it was at most a 5 minute drive. What I didn't know is that it is 2 block for adorable downtown Sawyer and the amazing Green Bush Brewery. After a day at the lake we were able to come back to the hotel change and walk to Green Bush for dinner then get ice cream across the street in this charming little town. It is tiny but perfect for what we were looking for. For the price we were very satisfied and it was so much more convenient than driving to Benton Harbor or New Buffalo. more

We like the convenient location near Warren Dunes State Park. Our room was quiet and comfortable. We were surprised that no conditioner for washing hair was provided and none was available. We will probably stay at this hotel again, and bring our own conditioner. more

We have stayed at this Super 8 a couple of times now and from the outside it isn't much to look at so I am always surprised by how good the stay is. The rooms are not the newest but they are comfortable and clean. When we check in, we never seems to be put right next door to another person so it is always quiet! The breakfast isn't much but sufficient. I love the waffles! For the price and the location to the wineries and breweries it is a good deal. more

The hotel and room were great for the money spent. more

Great location, friendly staff, clean comfortable room. Everything worked the way it should. This is our 2nd time staying here and it will continue to be our preferred hotel in the New Buffalo area. more

it was a great hotel. Very clean room, smelled good, great water temperature, clean linens, etc. Was pleasantly suprised. more

Really we are here for the Lake so where we stayed at was not that much of a priority. The rooms are always clean and the breakfast good. But beware if it is a last minute trip during the summer you must do a reservation because of the central location near the beach. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/30/2014

Conveniently located off of the interstate. A truckstop is right across the street with a few restaurants in it (sit down restaurant and fast food restaurants) which was also convenient so I didn't have to get back on the highway to find a place to eat. Internet worked great so I was able to get all of my work done. more

very nice clean motel, the staff was friendly and accommodating, even got a cup of coffee at 4 a.m. In the morning. people need to remember .... it's a bed a shower and a TV that's what you want when you're on the road... it's not the Hilton thanks for the truck parking more
