Sunset Urgent Care Medical Clinic

Recently I was under unusual stress and found myself blacked out in my bathroom in the middle of the night. I called Dr. Kwaw as he was familiar with my medical history and after reporting what happened he called a prescription promptly to a local pharmacy where a friend picked it up for me. I had a serious ulcer and the medication stopped the bleeding. I saw Dr. Kwaw the next day and after blood tests indicated I had lost half of my blood, Dr. Kwaw took it from there and got me back in balance. He counseled me and advised about warning signs to be aware of as an ulcer prone patient. Thank you Dr. Kwaw...I feel you saved my life. more

I've never had any problems at this place. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to see a doctor, which is pretty phenomenal. I've only gone there with colds, coughs, and sore throats as I don't have a set general practitioner, but the doctors have always been friendly and helpful and have even given me samples of OTC meds when they thought it would help. The front desk staff is less than sunshiney, but oh well. more

This urgent care center is the private practice office of Dr. Kwaw who is very unprofessional. First of all, he kept answering his cell phone calls while he was examining me while I was in severe pain. I was then asked for a urine sample and the sink in the bathroom wasn't even running with water. Hence I couldn't even wash my own hands. How can the doctor wash his hands with no running water??? He diagnosed me with a bladder infection. But it doesn't stop there, my pain persisted and I ended up going to another doctor who was referred by a friend. They also took a urine sample and ran some tests, turns out I didn't have a bladder infection but a yeast infection and the pain was caused by enlarged fibroids that they found. Days later I received a bill from the lab that Dr. Kwaw runs his urine tests for $80. When I called Dr. Kwaw contesting the bill the lab sent me, he wasn't cooperative at all to help me look into the issue. Instead he accused me that I had called him yelling and screaming (which obviously didn't happen) and then he hung up on me. I am now much better because I went to Dr. Michelle Israel (Beverly Hills). I am so disappointed in this ""urgent care"" service. Not only was I misdiagnosed but I had to deal with a $80 lab bill that I wasn't even informed of. When you don't have insurance and your income is low, these incidents are disappointing.
