Sunset Grill is consistently above average without being too expensive. It's not ""fine dining"" in the same league as F. Scotts or Midtown, but it's still very nice. The menu is longer than most of the ""fancier"" restaurant menus in Nashville, providing enough options for even a picky eater. There are lots of appetizers, soups, salads and sides for lesser appetites. The wine list is creative and extensive - fabulous for wine buffs!
The outside patio is great for a drink, appetizer and dessert on a warm evening. Sunset used to be great on appetizers and desserts, not so good on entrees, but they've revamped their kitchen and menu recently and our recent entrees have been delightful! The service and seating time is hit-or-miss.
All in all, I'd recommend it for a reliable, creative, semi-upscale meal.
Pros: Outside Patio, Wine List, Extensive Menu
Cons: Long Wait, Noisy
