This place did nothing for my sister, nor did the counselors watch out for any of their patients. As an attractive female, my sister immediately caught attention, but did not want any of it. With that said, many of the women immediately showed jealousy and bullied her around, demanding her belongings, and jumped her every second they got. She told the counselors but to no avail. Even in group, a respectful sharing time where you spill your heart in front of people, expecting support, women laughed at her, mocked her. Nothing was done to aid her. Rehab is supposed to be supportive and build up your confidence; this place was indicative of a prison atmosphere, killing any dreams of real recovery. If you want to step into a day in the life of ""Dangerous Minds"" by all means, sign up for Sunrise House. But if your idea of recovery is not getting mentally beat down, verbally abused by other patients, and ignored by support staff, then go ANYWHERE but HERE.
