Most of my meals there were well seasoned and the temps were right. I feel that many of the past chefs would hold back creatively, because of the point that many feel this is a destination restaurant and the need to feed the masses. I feel that there prices are far more reasonable than most destination restaurants. There has been some changes among the leadership as of late. I here there is a new chef with a lot to offer Delray patrons. Lets hope the new chef wont hold back, I want to see some farm to table, seasonal produce, modern plate designs and flavorful dishes like some of the past chefs have come up with but the problem always seemed to be keeping it consistent. The ambiance you have to love, you want a good date get a good table in the gardens on a cool night. more

Come on! This a great location. The ambiance is fantastic. The menu is a show piece for the chef and his staff. We enjoyed the wild boar entree and the small plates of tuna and loin of pork. The wait staff was especially solicitous. Thank you DiGiorgo! This is a restaurant for special occasions and the garden atmosphere adds a tropical feeling to the whole experience. LOVE IT! more

The dining experience here is amazing. My wedding guests were thrilled with the food and atomosphere. I have thoroughly enjoyed all 5 times I have eaten at the Sundy House. I cant wait to come back on my anniversary to enjoy eating in the gardens. more

Went to Sundy House to use a Groupon. The ambiance and the restaurant/inn itself were beautiful. However, we were treated like second class citizens because of our Groupon use. The food was mediocre and overpriced (though the tortellini was very good). Bottom line- you pay for the ambiance. more

They have a Sunday brunch 2nd to none anywhere. very unique atmosphere, different and special, The grounds are lined with Bamboo of all types, plantings, trees, a fresh water pool, with fish that is amazing to swim in, "must be a guest at the inn" pathways of beauty. You really need to spend some extra time here to appreciate and take it all in. more

I've been to the Sundy House several times over the past 5-6 years and everytime I've had a great experience! I've had a few b-day parties during the Sunday Brunch and all my guests are always very impressed. The staff is always pleasant and helpful too. When its not too hot, sit outside. Its just beautiful. more

My partner and I recently went to Sundy House to celebrate a special occassion. With expectations of sitting out in the beautiful tropical courtyard, we were instead presented with a choice of the worst 6 tables in the place. All indoors, all with no view, no ambience etc. I honestly felt there may have been some discrimination taking place, as there appeared to be better seating available. \r \r The service was quite good, but the food left much to be desired. An apple tart desert was a congeled mass with no fresh apple to be found. \r \r Be sure to also check your bill as I also was mischarged for my bottle of wine. \r \r So at the end of the day, what I was hoping to be a nice meal turned out to be one of poor ambience, mediocre food and overcharged to boot. \r \r I can not recommend this place. more

Below mediocre food, miniscule portions, outrageous prices. Pretty much ruined my birthday dinner as most of our party got sick to their stomachs afterwards. I really don't remember ever being so unsatisfied. Heard great things about thus place and was excited to try. With entrees between 24-36 on their own...has to be good right?! Wrong. Charming atmosphere I must say. Other than that, sucks. more

We had been to Sundy House on two separate occasion, both for brunch. The gardens are loverly, the place is well maintained, and the food was quite good. It was a very refined and gentile experience.\r \r Our third experience was awful. We arrived at 7pm, where one poor valet guy was trying to handle 6-8 people arriving all at once. He wasn't very friendly - harried. Inside we met a woman behind a checkin counter, who got off the phone long enough to motion to another station, saying the hostess would be right with us.\r \r Well she was no where to be seen for almost five minutes. Meanwhile, about thirty members of a wedding party crowded into the small hallway as they tried to enter their meeting space. \r \r The hostess finally returned, with the warm greeting - "Who's next?" Well, we were not - another couple was in front of us. But theirs was now a party of 7, so off the hostess went, vowing to return. We'll never know if she did.\r \r We all looked at each other and said this had BAD SERVICE written all over it. We knew were in for a problem dinner just by the greeting. Staff was obviously stretched past their capacities and focused on large groups\r \r Fortunately the poor valet was still backed up with maybe 8 cars now, and ours was still there. But as a final insult, he required that I go in and pay the $5 charge.\r \r The lady behind the counter could sense my growing anger, and she stamped my card at no charge, never asking what the problem was. Maybe we weren't the first walkouts; with service like that, we certainly won't be the last.\r \r Beautiful place for a wedding or small reception, but if you are a normal retail customer, look out and elsewhere. more

Absolutely breath-taking ambiance, presentation, service, quality & experience. Can recommend without reservation. Love the changing tapas plate. Most gracious service and while not inexpensive, still quite a bargain for the quality. Beautiful to tour gardens at sunset. Perfect for a wedding. Tip: arrive early for brunch to watch parrots play in the trees. Beware of the brunch bread pudding--VERY addictive. Why can't more of SoFla be like this? more
