I come down to Alpine several times a year to get away and go to Big Bend. I always stay at Sunday House Inn. The rooms are out dated but unlike the last review I am realistic. They care about thier guest and the way the hotel looks, they are currently remodeling the hotel giving it a complete over haul and have been working on it for a while. The rooms are still clean, well kept and the service is great. The mattereses and sheets are new. The owner is a nice guy who is only rude when customers are either rude first or make unreasonable demands. The bottom line they keep this place clean and nice for a great price!!! more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and was very pleased with my experience. This hotel is being renovated so some rooms may still be a work in progress. My room was exceptionally large with new furnishings and a very comfortable King bed. The reception and breakfast areas are new, very clean and as nice as you will find in any motel. The breakfast is more than adequate. Having checked the prices and appearance of other hotels in Alpine I would say this is probably the best value in town. more

This hotel has been in the process of being remodeled over the last couple of years. Many improvements have been made and the room was nice except for the bathroom, which needs to be completely redone. The bed was comfortable and the room was? pleasantly quiet. A good overall value, not a destination hotel yet but a good place to stay the night. more

Our room (121) was huge for less than $80.00. The place was clean with clean linen and towels. Despite the other reviews about the guy at the front desk, Mr. Bahkta was cordial and accomodating to my wife and I. We had a pleasant stay. What I really appreciate was how Mr. Bahkta and his staff went out of their way to send us an heirloom pillow of my wifes father who had passed away. She had left it behind and was torn apart about it. I called Mr. Bahkta and he graciously returned it via mail at his first opportunity. I cannot thank him enough for the gesture. Give this place a chance, you will not be disappointed. more

I was very pleased. The room was large and very roomy, nice furniture, micrwave, refrigerator, was very clean. We got in late and left early but we were totally satisfied and would recommend anyone staying there. more

I'v been staying at this motel for the last 5 year. 3 days a week and can not beleve my eye. People the crap motel is across the street. Roger and his staff have been fixing this place up like a flaged motel. if you what full service go to a flaged motel and pay $90.00 to $200.00 if you what family service stay at the sunday house inn. more

we had to go and enroll my son in sul ross and we stayed at the Sunday House Inn in Alpine Texas the beds where so nice the front desk person was very nice and helpfull i hope she is still there when we return in August more

The motel and the staff are great and 6/11/2012

The motel and the staff are great and very helpfull. Nice big clean room, Nice breakfast,You can save money at meal time and have a BBQ at the BBQ area like we did. The Last stay the ower had started to remodel the outside and said inside is next. We have been to this motel off and on for nine year and i will not saty at any othere motel in Alpine. It's the best Family run motel in Alpine. more

The room we spent the night in was very comfortable 5/21/2012

I agree with others this is not a 5 star Motel but the room we spent the night in was very comfortable the bed was comfortable, the sheets were comfortable and had no problem with them staying ont the bed, four pillows to each bed. The bathroom was clean had a good shower, plenty of towels and wash cloths. We were only there one night but if I ever go back through there thats where I will stay. Price was very afordable plus you get a 10% discount at restaurant next door, which the burgers were great! more

cozy motel 5/9/2012

The Sunday House Inn is a cozy motel with a fantastic West Texas view of Alpine. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean, but there was no coffee pot included. No big deal but I've never been at a hotel/motel without a coffee maker. Also, the bathroom could have used an update, but all in all, it was very relaxing and quiet. I would recommend it and stay there again in the future. more

enjoyed staying at the Sunday House Inn 5/8/2012

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Sunday House Inn. When I first booked the room, I was a little concerned because the price of the room per night, was considerably lower than the cost of the chain hotels that are located in Alpine. However, when we arrived, the desk clerk was very friendly and very helpful. When we arrived in our room, it was very clean and very spacious. I was pleasantly surprised that they also offer a hot breakfast every morning at no extra charge. I would definitely recommend that anyone who is looking for a great value, with all of the perks of a larger hotel, try the Sunday House Inn. more
