Wow, I just ran into the exact same situation as Tabblycat4shur did three years ago. I rented a rototiller that had dull blades and wouldn't even cut into the dirt or scrape up the grass on my lawn. When I brought the thing back and told the outside guy the problem, he retorted with snide and cocky remarks. Because I stood up for myself, the situation escaladed. The guys that worked there gathered round inside and continued to tell me how I was wrong and how I had to see their side of it. \r The thing is, I had expected to pay for the rental, and I already understood their side of it, but they continued to talk at me and showed absolutely no interested in understanding that my frustration was with the way I was being treated then and there as a customer. When I finally told them how long I had been a customer, and that I wouldn't be coming back, the boss lowered the price. But they continued to badger me. I accepted the lowered price. But when I tried to tell them that it wasn't the money or the lousy machine that bothered me, but it was their attitude toward me that bothered me, the group literally snickered at me. I won't be going back there again. And I will be apologizing to all of the women I have recommended the place to in the past. And I will continue to warn everyone I can about the offensive customer service I experienced there today. \r I checked into other rental places, too, and found the prices were lower, and the customer service was much more professional and helpful. I'll get this lawn done in spite of Sun Rentals. more

Sun Rentals What A Joke!!! 5/31/2010

My husband rented a stump grinder at this place and got about a hour away and it would not start, the battery was dead, so he had to go buy jumper cables finally got it started but, It would not hold the charge. The belts smoked and squealed and the blades were dull. I took it back for my husband because he had to work, and the man at the counter was so rude it was unbelievable. I was first greeted by a man outside who was nice. I told him what happened and he directed me to the people inside. When I got inside I talked to a man named Greg. I told him that my husband had the stump grinder for the weekend. I also told him that he said it would not start so they jumped it, then after it started it would not hold a charge, and that the belts squealed and smoked also told him that the blade on it was very dull. He said that was impossible about the blade they are checked every time they come back, but obviously not since it would not start either.He said so what do you want us to do? I told him that we did not want to be charged for it since it did not work at all. He then told me that would not be fair to them. I told him that it was not fair to us to get where we were going and waste gas and money on something we were not able to use. He said then I will just give you a credit for the next thing you rent I told him that we would not be renting from them again since the last time we rented from a place on Alpine an that the equipment was good there and he told me that it was not fair to them so I asked him why he was being so rude to me? I don't know much about these things and he told me yeah and thats why your husband had you return it and not him. I told him No, I returned it because he is at work and again I said why are you being so rude to me? He said "I am being as nice as can be to you". He said it in such a snotty tone then he put down a paper and said here is your receipt and card so I asked so am I still getting charged? He said did you look at it ? It says 00.00 I said oh o.k I did not know since he did not explain it and just put it down. They did not apologize or anything. After I left I thought WOW what a jerk hope my husband does not go there again. I thought I am going to call to find out who the manager is and tell him about how that man acted Shocked to find out that the man who was so rude was the OWNER GREG I would not go to this place if I were any of you. Pros: Easy to get to Cons: Everything else more
