Sugarplum is great! I've always felt special when going here, just like a princess. I've gotten my Sweet 16 dress here, as well as dresses for several weddings of friends and family. Soon my mother will be going there to get a mother-of-the-bride dress for me, so I'm very excited about that. Their selection is great, and they're wonderful people! more

My daughter and I went for her prom dress and we were in and out of the store so fast. Spectacular! I will never go anywhere else. So many sizes, so many styles. The workers were so kind and very informative. Everything is fit to size and the alterations were amazing. \r \r I don't usually write reviews, but I had such a pleasant experience. I will definitely go back in a couple of years with my youngest daughter. Thank you, Sugarplum! more

I had a wonderful experience at Sugarplum. I am a plus-sized girl and was searching for a prom dress. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They showed me lots of different styles. I also like that there were no sizes on the dresses. My sales girl said, ""It's your size, sweety"", which made me feel confident that there were things to fit my body type and the size was just a number! more

I love Sugarplum! I went here for a dress for my mom to wear at my wedding. The selection was amazing, the sales girl was so sweet and helpful, and the alterations were great! The seamstress actually put sleeves on my moms strapless dress! It came out flawless. Sugarplum is an amzing store and I am so happy we went there. more

THE BEST DRESS SHOP ON LONG ISLAND! 4/1/2012

Well I read the last few reviews and I have to say that there must be something wrong with the people who wrote the reviews to have had such negative experiences at Sugarplum. From beginning to end I was treated with respect and I was able to view and try on in my size, an unbelievable selection. The dresses are not inexspensive, but not starting at $1500.00 either! The staff was extremely knowlegable and helpful. The dresses were definitely more youthful than anything I have seen at all the other shops. The alterations were fabulous (I neede a lot of work) and they even made sleeves for my strapless dress! I received so many compliments and again, from beginning to end SUGARPLUM was a better experince than I had even hoped for!! Definitely check them out! more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD!!!!!!!! The only thing they offer is horrible customer service. The sales people not only rude but acted as if they were doing us a favor...The dresses are second rate at best. They put thre own labels on them to try and corner the market lol.. Nice try.. Beware of the seamstress!!! We were told by our sales person"" BUYER BEWARE"" after the non English speaking seamstress tried to charge us an ubsurb amount of money for alterations..MY ADVICE IS DO NOT BUY A DRESS AT SUGAR PLUM!! IN SUCH A BAD ECONOMY ITS IS THE TIME TO WORK HARDER AND FOCUS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE!! BUYER BEWARE OF SUGAR PLUM IN GARDEN CITY IT IS THE WORST!! more
