Suddenly Slimmer Day and Med Spa

I went to Suddenly Slimmer and had a really nice experience. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. I had a facial there and felt that my skin looked and felt radiant when I left. I do not go to the spa super often, but this is one that I will go back to. Thanks for making my experience there one to be remembered. more

When I first heard about them was from a friend of mine that has gone there for some time. I decide that check it out for my next facial and waxing. I went by myself to see if it was like my dear friend has told me. The waxing technician was friendly and welcoming and her service was very professional and very well done. After that I was looking for my turn for the facial and ambient music was calm and peaceful. The girl that did my facial; I could not be more pleased and my friend was right about that. Martha L. For my birthday, twelve of my best friends arranged a gathering for me at Suddenly Slimmer Spa. Being that it was my birthday, I was able to choose any services that I desired. I chose to have a facial & microdermabrasion. Five of my friends had elected to get paraffin manicures & pedicures, 3 had hot stone massages, 4 had deep pore cleansing facials, and one had reflexology. It was so much fun, my friends and I had a blast! The spa manager accommodated all of us in the most welcoming way I could imagine. I must compliment her and the warm spa staff on their outstanding professionalism. The spa itself is huge bigger then any resort spa I have ever been to, just gorgeous, the treatment rooms are magnificent, not to mention clean, organized, extremely relaxing and very inviting. I had a chance to chat with friends with whom I haven?t spoken in a long time. We were served delicious refreshments and appetizers, they took pictures of the event for us. We had a great time together, my mother & sister arrived a bit late to join us, but now they are going to be regulars, they were very happy with the treatments they received and with the spa environment. There are hundreds of day spas in the Phoenix area - why go to one that if you get a bad service or have a problem won't even acknowledge you!?!? Don't chance it - go somewhere else!! My husband and I went to this spa and each received several treatments (and spent nearly $700 in one afternoon!). One of the treatments I received was a solar bronzing session. During the session I asked many detailed questions about maintaining and prolonging my tan (I have done this several times before at other spas). I was told only not to shower for 1 hour. I rinsed off using no soap 7 hours after my session and the tan DISSAPEARED! I called immediately the next morning and was told that someone would call me back to discuss my failed service. No one called me back so I called two other times! On my last attempt to speak to someone about this matter, I was told the manager, Kelly, was busy and could I email her?!?! So, as a last resort, I emailed the spa and still received NO RESPONSE! I find this customer service atrocious! The fact that not one person at this entire spa can simply return a phone call or address my concern IS RIDICILOUS!!! My recommendation - go somewhere else! more

The combination of wood trellis, stone and stucco faux finish plus tall ceiling / glass windows gave the structure a new timeless buiding character. "I went to Suddenly Slimmer Spa yesterday and had an ayurvedic massage and a shirodhara ( oil on the head treatment). Mitta was one of the most giving and generous practitioners that I have had a treatment with. God bless you for the great treatment you provided to me yesterday! God knows I needed it? It was so profoundly relaxing and soothing. There is soo many great amenities at the spa such as the Infrared Sauna (which helps to detox the body), large area for relaxation complete with teas, fresh fruits and cookies, the atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful. A beautiful amenity has not always ensured a rewarding spa treatment but in this case it did. Mitta is a licensed massage therapist and acupuncturist who usually specializes in chronic conditions and diseases and the ayurvedic treatments are usually a component of that and I plan to go back to her to address some health concerns that I have. Thank you so much for such an powerful and uplifting treatment Mitta!" Pros: Loved every thing about the spa and the treatment I received! more

"The spiritual philosophy of Suddenly Slimmer Spa & Wellness Center is evident in every aspect of the spa. The staff is professional and very gentle. I had the Merlot and Sauvignon Body Scrub which is a combination of massage and scrub. The massage tables are very fluffy and comfortable, they used warm towels that were dipped in lavender oils on my hands and feet in the end of the session and it felt wonderful, they also had calming music playing through out my treatment which really helped me to relax. I also had the Organic Facial Fusion ; equally calming. It consisted of two organic exfoliates and a gentle mask that left my face looking youthful and fresh. I didn't even reapply my makeup. The facility is quiet and colorful. It makes you forget that you are in Phoenix Arizona. Perfect spa environment. I highly recommend this spa and will definitely return the next time I'm in Arizona." I was really surprise with the result I got with their Body Wrap. I was not sold out about it and still I wanted to try it. They showed me that I lost 23 inches and still I was not sure.
