I'd have to agree with Michael. I live only a few blocks from this location, and although I love the fresh ingredients and close location...it is such an uncomfortable feeling dealing with the rude, rude, rude girls behind the counter. Who pissed in their cornflakes? I (used to) tip extremely well, was always very polite, and made it a point to get my order ""right"" without them having to ask me a million questions...which I know has to be aggravating...but even now, after dozens of visits...the staff is snappy, impatient, won't look you in the eye, pushy, and I guess they don't understand English very well, because things have to be repeated several times. For a minute, I'd actually thought about traveling to old town to get my subs...which I buy 3 per day (bless Jerrod)...but I think we need to get THEM to change for us to keep our business...instead of the customer changing for them. I am going to become a grouchy pain in their arse...as see how they like it. Change my ingredients several times, switch the bread up after they start, mumble very low and look out the window when I tell them what I want, break out the cell phone and just walk away while the line builds, let them put onions on the bread...and then have them remake it because I'm ""allergic to onions."" Yeah, it's going to get ugly...and I REALLY am so nice. I've been the one behind the counter...and it's not as if they're just having a bad day...it's like this EVERY time I go there. I've had it. Now I'm going to give them a taste of what it's like to go someplace in a great mood...and have someone ruin it with their TERRIBLE customer service skills. Smile. Say thank you. Engage someone with eye contact. Talk to the customer...not through the customer. Don't talk to the other employees in another language as if there are no customers standing in line...and give me my damned receipt. I hope I meet the owner of this place one day...he's going to get an earful. So if you happen to have no choice but to go to Peacock Plaza's Subway, be ready for some RUDE people. Maybe that's why Jerrod lost so much weight...he just got tired of dealing with the rude staff and starved himself? It's a shame this place has had the SAME EXACT employees. The thin one, with the skinny face, green eyes, pointy nose, and devoid of a smile seems to be the absolute WORST. I'd feel sorry for her...if I didn't want to slap the attitude out of her. Last week I watched as a family of four got so ""abused' by her...they just walked out. When they'd gone, she started chatting in another language and her and her ""comrad"" started laughing. It's ridiculous.
