Best

I?ve rated this place excellent. This is a small place; probably for 50 to 60 seats; but the menu is really upscale Mexican cuisine (I would say fine dining), I?ve been there thr...

Worst

It is with the utmost remorse that I write this review. I was a frequent customer at Su Casa (before the remodel and new ownership) and rated it very highly. However, under new ...

Very Delicious 2/3/2007

From the outside, one might never guess what an amazing place this is! The only thing that drew me in was the promise of homemade tortillas handwritten on the window. Very clean, the table, the open kitchen, even the high chair was tidy. The ingredients were simple, fresh and obviously made with love. I have traveled in Mexico and believe that this is the best place north of the border. If you want to try authentic Mexican-style, this is the place! I am hooked. more

Mmmm....GORDOS 9/13/2006

Best Mexican on the Eastside, hands down. Here's what I'm addicted to: - Gordos (all kinds) - Chimichanga - Taco salad VERY IMPORTANT: Ask Anna Maria for some "sweet tortillas" when you're there. You won't be sorry. more

Su Casa -- Best Mexican Food 8/12/2006

Having grown up in Texas, I was slightly disappointed by the Mexican food offerings in the area, that is, until I found Su Casa in Issaquah. After a five year search, I was in dire need of some good Mexican food and, I assure you, Su Casa does not disappoint. Annabelle and Robert, the owners, make this family friendly, casual restaurant feel like home. They're typically taking orders and doing the serving, alongside their children on any given afternoon or evening. Come in, find a place to sit and get ready for the best Mexican food in the Seattle metropolitan area. Aside from their tasty salsa, which they bring to your table when you arrive, the Gordo plate is a big hit. It is a dish of homemade flour tortillas (YUM!) stuffed with two items of your choosing -- anything from chicken with cheddar cheese to their specialty, carne guisada with lettuce and tomato. You can also go vegetarian with this item by combining potatoes and onions or scrambled eggs with tomatoes. Any combo you like, and the list is long. I have also heard that the fajitas and the tacos are a hit. I have no doubt that anything you try at Su Casa will exceed your expectations. After you've stuffed yourself silly, try to fit the fried ice cream in the little space you have left. It's scrumptious! Enjoy! more

The Best Mexican Food in Town 7/4/2006

Sometimes the best places to the eat are in the most unusual locations. And Su Casa is no exception. It's hidden away in Issaquah in a vacant lot and car park, in what apparently used to be an Espresso Time "hut". But despite it's unusual surroundings, Su Casa serves up some of the best, freshest and tastiest Mexican food that I've ever had. It's a family run business and the service is friendly and the prices are great. You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu - but a couple of their specialties worth trying are the Gordos (very thin and soft flour tacos) that you can fill with whatever you like and the Carne Guisada (simmered beef). Sometimes I'll get three Gordos (some with ground beef and some with carne guisada) or sometimes I'll get the ground beef enchiladas along with rice and beans. Business must be good...they're closed on Sundays. more
