A love affair 5/12/2010

My partner who lived in Laguna Beach first introduced me to Studio Taka 15 years ago and I have been going there ever since. During those years, I have lived in many different cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and London (England) but I have still managed to make it down to Studio Taka to get my haircut. My love affair with Aveda products and the beautiful Laguna beach setting have certainly helped foster this relationship but the truth is, Taka is a gem and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to cut my hair. He is precise, charming, personable and always professional. I recently had the pleasure of getting a complimentary treatment from Taka’s esthetician Kerry and I am seriously considering scheduling a full Spa day next time I get my haircut. Taka’s Assistant Justin has also been a welcome addition to the team. He is extremely pleasant and goes out of his way to make sure that clients are well taken care of. If you are looking to start a love affair with a salon, look no further. Pros: Excellent service, great products, amazing setting more

Saving Grace 5/6/2010

I showed up to Taka's place a little over 6 years ago with hair that needed some serious love...he was more than happy to fit me in at last minute and boy, has he turned my hair around. Again, with my hair (and of course with Taka), I fell in love... Then Kerry joined the group...I had never had a facial before, and was a little leery about beginning this new regiment, and am I glad I did....Kerry has this amazing energy that leaves you feeling more relaxed and calm than words can express, better yet, it leaves you speechless. She goes above and beyond what any regular esthetician will do, and has this uncanny knack of knowing exactly what a person needs. Love her!!! To sum it up - Studio Taka is a great little salon in Laguna with wonderful vibes and people, not to mention a beautiful view! I was lucky enough to stumble across this place several years ago when it was a two-seater salon and have not looked back since. more

The most amazing facial you will ever have! 4/27/2010

I had a facial at Studio Taka in Laguna Beach from Kerry and I felt like a new woman afterwards! This is not your ordinary facial. To begin, the service was head to toe pampering with great Aveda products, a relaxing and clean treatment room, and the best skin care therapist I have experienced. Kerry has amazing massage and skin care techniques that left me feeling transformed and rejuvenated. She really takes great care of you and not only does your skin look and feel amazing afterwards, but you feel calm, relaxed and rejuvenated as well. I recommend Kerry and Studio Taka! You won't be disappointed! Pros: Wonderful Staff, Clean, Great Products Cons: None more
