Studio Movie Grill Plano

Studio Movie Grill is a fun place to go on occasion for a movie. It is a chain with three locations in Texas. You will find the same movies there as at the typical local multiplex with the additional option of eating a full meal while you watch the movie. I will say that the service could be a little quicker. Also, the food is okay, but it is fast food. However, the overall experience is fun. The theater is clean considering the amount of eating that occurs there. One bonus is that the seats are spaced further apart than in other theaters to accomodate tables for the food. more

Studio Movie Grill is a nice place to go watch movies when you want to sit in a comfortable chair and have a table to put your drink on. They don't have the normal seating that most movie theaters have- they have rolling chairs around a table. Most people get some sort of food while they watch the movie but we normally just get drinks. They have a lot of promotions and specials that make it a nice price. They play the current run movies as well as some old movies. They even show the sporting events on the big screen on special occasions. Sometimes the place looks like it could use a good cleaning but I think that is what you get when you serve food in a dark room durning a movie! more

We have two Studio Movie Grills here in the Dallas area, and unfortunately, this one does not present itself quite as well as the Addison location. The atmosphere of this location is rather dull and bland, and the facility could be cleaner. If given the choice, I would drive down teh road and head to the Addison location. Much nicer, cleaner, and better service. more

My wife and I discovered this place a few years back and it is really great for those who don't have time to go to dinner and a movie separately. The Studio Movie Grill allows you to sit down to a decent meal while watching a movie. The movie theater does not have the typical row after row of seats. Instead, you get to sit at a table and eat your meal in the theater. The menu selections are decent and not significantly higher priced than what you'd pay at a normal restaurant. I recommend the BBQ chicken sandwich, and my wife loves their wraps. They also offer a "baby night" for those of you with little ones who are willing to try something like that. Be sure to arrive early to make sure you get a seat! Their showings fill up fast! It's also nice to have a little extra time before the movie starts to look at the menu and get your order placed. more
