Studio 890

I cannot even give this place a star. The hair dresser was very nice but, her work was that of a beginner in school....she talked a good game plan but, did not produce. I broke into tears...in all my years I have NEVER had such a HORRIBLE end result and I have personally done some things to my hair...EEK! they are insulting by saying that it looks okay to them and that they will try to fix the color if I come back and give me a free conditioning treatment for free ...like now I am at their mercy I spent 3 hours there already for this mess I haven't the time to run around at sit however long again just to have them mess it up again because frankly I think that this salon is all poof no proof. Jane said it is policy that I have to pay for this debacle at the tune of $150...to have this Jane person tell me that it is the salons policy since they opened that I have to pay this was just another JAB I had never been there before how do do I know their ""policy"" (which mind you is to their benefit not the dissatisfied customer) and I feel that I should not have to pay until they get it right afterall I did not want to pay for something that is BROKEN, so to speak....would anyone in their right mind purchase something that is deffective. I should have known there was a problem when the hair stylist would not face me toward the mirror. The cut was too short, my color is muddy/ green on the ends, orange at the scalp/ roots and smelled burnt when I wet it....let me tell you about the style I have very curly hair that she made look like a older ladies long roundy moundy. I have a vacation planned and here I sit with hair that I cannot even go out in public with unless I want to look like a crazy person. I won't get started on what my husband has to say. Let me add that the station/ implements were dirty...I wonder if the stylists here attended the WI state required Sanitation courses this fall. Spare yourself...I know that they will not admit that they were wrong and I might as well lit my money on fire...trust me I have wheels in motion and I will find resolve and speak on any and all platforms to enlighten the public to take heed when it comes to this place just because they are in a so-called high-end area does not make them qualified. more

I've been getting my hair colored and cut a Studio 890 for 16 years!! (also getting manicures, pedicures, waxing and Dr Hauschka facials) In all these years I've had several of their Stylist and have always been very happy with my services. I always get compliments on my hair and skin. Other friends can't believe how healthy my naturally brown hair which they color light blonde looks. My main designer has even studied in Europe with goldwell hair color. I think because of all their training is how they know not to put a perm over bleach or high lift tint which is still on a persons hair even after 10months, unless you get it al cut off. They have taught me so much about hair so that my hair looks great everyday even when i style it! I would highly recommend any of their designers! I went there to get a perm, it was a year since my last one. I got highlights 10 months ago and I was told by the stylist that she was not comfortable doing another perm with the highlights still in the hair. Saying something that it might react with the chemicals left from the highlights. I dont see how highlights given 10 MONTHS ago could affect the perm. I contact other salons to set up an apt to get a perm anyway and they laughed when I told them this story. They said she should go back to school! Too expensive to trust when they dont know what they're doing.... Cons: I cant trust my hair with them anymore more
