Best

This is a great resturant. The atmosphere is wonderful. They always have great specials for lunch and happy hour. One of my most favorite places to eat in the city.

Worst

Interesting concept, but lacks focus. There were singles looking to hook up, familes there, small dining parties, and large birthday parties. So, I was confused at what concept t...

Good Social Scene 11/4/2006

I have been to Strip once and it was on Sunday afternoon so it was not crowded. The layout and design of the restaurant is cool....comtemporary. I did order the cajun mahi-mahi. It was ok, kind of salty. I probably wouldn't order it again. I did have the shrimp tempura which was really good and a nice glass of wine. The waiter was good, checking on us every so often to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Overall, I would return again to try some more shushi and the steak. It's a good place to go with a group of friends to enjoy the atmosphere and people-watch. Pros: Ambience, Social Scene, Sushi more

Better than expected 9/24/2006

I have to say that I was a little hesitant about going to Strip after reading so many negative reviews, but my friend wanted to go there for her birthday so I made the arrangements. I made a reservation for Friday night at 7:30 and we were seated promptly. The wait staff was great and very attentive. I was not sure what to expect when ordering sushi, but I was pleasantly surprised when it all tasted good. My husband ordered the filet (which was recommended by the waiter over the strip) and he said it was just right; however the mashed potatoes had no taste. Overall I had a good experience at Strip and would return again. Its too bad that so many have not had a good experience. more

Good Atmosphere, Bad Food 9/11/2006

Accompanied by my mother, my brother, and his girlfriend I had high expectations for this restaurant because of the great design and layout. We got a good table where we had a view outside after a minimal wait (it was the middle of the afternoon). I tried their miso soup which wasn't to good--how is somebody going to wrong with something so simple? But the real bummer was the steak--it was awful! Might just want to stick to the bar at this place. Pros: Well designed Cons: The food! more

opps 8/24/2006

Strip misses so badly on service, that at these prices-forget it. The sushi is good, but below the quality of many Atlanta resturants. But don't expect the normal banter at the sushi bar, not friendly at all. Maybe too busy, but the place was dead on a Weds nite. Pros: Great easy intown parking, and free for 2 hrs. Cons: High prices, low service. more

Strip???? Not the best in Atlanta 7/19/2006

A great atmosphere if you're looking for low lights and lots of noise. I had higher expectations for Atlantic Station's restaurants, night life, and overall appeal. But Strip will be at the top of my list of places not to return to until they get more lights, better staff, experienced bartenders, a wider menu selection, did I mention better staff? Pros: Sushi, dessert Cons: Drinks, menu, lighting more

This is almost a review 6/29/2006

i have not yet made my way to strip; but you reviewers are a hoot. now, why on earth would you go to a place named strip STEAKS AND SUSHI and expect an amazing non meat-friendly, non-sushi menu? that would be like going to a chinese restaurant and wonder why their spaghetti and meatballs just isn't like your momma's. anyway, i am going to pay strip a visit and make the decision for myself; since the postings on this site are mostly people who have complaints or badly disguised restaurant employees rather than those who actually provide useful reviews. more

Good for people watching friday nights 6/23/2006

I have been twice to Strip. I went the first week they opened. The atmosphere was nice but the food was not good especially the side dishes. The drinks were just OK. My second experience was in june again on a friday night. Due to popularity, the wait was 2 hours. My friends and I waited on the second level and had drinks. Good for people watching but the drinks were not good. When we were finally seated, the service was awful!! If you are not a big steak or meat eater, the food selection is limited. Our waitress forgot to bring out several dishes. The food was even more tasteless the second time around. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a good meal or customer service. However, for now if you want to people watch and be seen, Friday night on the second level would be good. Pros: people watching Cons: food, wait time, customer service more

totally lame 6/22/2006

Went for drinks and such on a thursday night. It was completely dead and they made us leave at 12:30. I would have been so embarrassed if I had taken out of town guests there. I can't see any reason to go back unless a lot of things change. The people working there need to be MUCH nicer. That attitude is not working. Pros: big Cons: rude staff, closes early more

RSVP On Saturdays 6/13/2006

My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night and the wait was 2 hours. The food was ok it wasnt the best. The drinks were really good. It probably better during the week. more

Go on fridays!! 6/2/2006

Went here twice and had fun both of the times!! The sushi is delicious and so are the drinks. I do recommend making reservations unless you like to stand in line on friday nites!! good place to see/meet potential singles!! more

great sushi and drinks 5/25/2006

Went here for a girls night out.. made reservations beforehand for about 5:30pm. We were seated promptly and I would recommend beating the rush if you are going for an early dinner. Shrimp tempura sushi was amazing as well as mashed potatoes (strange combo I know.. but so good!) Melon Mojito was great as well as bloody mary. first good one I've had in awhile. Waiter was a bit strange and cynical, not the best wait staff but managers repeatedly came over to check on our meal. Fun and upbeat atmosphere but does get stuffy. Would recommend for the beginning of a fun night out.. not necessarily a date spot. Pros: drink selection, helpful managers, great sushi Cons: loud, crowd rush after 6 more

Great drinks & food - but the wait is long 5/15/2006

Went to Strip last Saturday night, arrived arround 9:00 without reservations; was told it would be an hour and a half wait. Went to the second floor bar and had some drinks and sushi - excellent (think their sushi is some of the best in Atlanta, but just had one appetizer). Their cheese stuffed olive martinis are amazing and very addictive. Were seating around 10:00. Their bone in ribeye was great, side items were average. Pros: Sushi, Steak, Martinis Cons: Long Wait, Side Items more

My First Review Ever 5/1/2006

This place may be good for lunch, when noone is there, but not for dinner. This place does not know how to cater to large groups. I was told the wait for a party of 11 would only be 1hr30min. We waited a little over 3hrs. Finally it was our time to be seated, I was so excited. I couldnt even sit with half of the people in my party, they ended up on the other side of the bldg. It was my birthday dinner and first time having my parents and step parents together at one time. Strip DID NOT make this experience easy for me. They had no intentions of sitting my party together. Food was good, but the service was horrible. A place of business should never let anyone wait 3hrs for a table. I seen the bad reviews before mine and didnt take them seriously. BIG MISTAKE. Pros: reservations cost $$ Cons: Not a lot on menu, Too noisy more

Great Place For Lunch! 4/24/2006

I recently visited Strip April 22, 2006 and had a great time. On other occasions I had opted to leave due to extremely long wait times. On this particular day I think I beat the dinner crowd. The hostess was very nice and when my boyfriend and I asked to be seated on the patio so that we could enjoy the sun vs being inside, we were quickly accomodated. My waiter was great and very attentive. We recieved our food in a timely manner. Although, I expected more from the food, it was just average. Overall, I had a great experience and a very nice lunch with great surroundings. Pros: Atmosphere, Music, People Cons: Average Food, Mildly High Prices more

HORRIBLE 3/14/2006

On Girls Night we decided to go here. Let me just say we were not impressed AT ALL. The wait was average. The menu was horrible. The only appealing thing we saw were the veggie and cheese burgers. We just weren't in the mood for sushi and with my friends being vegetarians steak was out of the question. Then there was the Spaghetti with Ham & Eggs??? Service was ok until the waiter knocked a glass of ice water in my girlfriends lap. That pretty much did it for us. We have definitely X'd this place from our places for entertainment or dining. The best part about this place would be the location. This will be a great TOURIST SPOT!!! more

Disappointing 3/13/2006

I went to Strip on Saturday night hoping for great ambience and food. I have dined at Prime, Twist, Goldfish and Shout. The crowd is a lot less upscale than any of the places just mentioned. I am talking jeans, wifebeaters and kids throwing french fries. Definitely not a date/romantic place. It felt more like eating at Planet Hollywood. The food was decent for the price. We each had the filet mignon, two sides and a cocktail. After 20% tip, dinner for two came to $100. Considering the price and the inconvenience of having to fiddle through the parking garage below Atlantic station, we will choose one of the other great steakhouses in town in the future. Pros: music, friendly staff Cons: noisy, pricy, no valet more

Poor service 2/25/2006

This was my first time at this restaurant, big mistake. We asked for seating for a party of fifteen and got a seating for twelve. We were promised a table across from ur group for the remainder of the party, but each time we didn't get the table. For the prices the portions were not adequate, and we were asked my the manager when would we be leaving because they needed the table, Now keep in mind we wer there for a birthday celebration. I won't be going back and I won't be recommending this place to anyone, but I will encourage people to go to a better restaurant if you want a great steak for your dollars because this place isn't the one. This was truly a disappointment. Thank you Shirley Brown Pros: music was good, decor nice Cons: prices not good, crowded, slow service more
