I wouldn't buy shoes anywhere else! 4/1/2006

I’ve been buying shoes at Stride Rite since my six year old was old enough to need them. Both my boys have wide feet, and Stride Rite shoes are the only ones that don’t pinch their little toes. The staff is great, very patient and knowledgeable, and willing to try on six different pairs of sneakers until your child finds the “perfect” pair. The shoes are expensive, I just spent $48 for sneakers for my almost two year old, but they’re worth it. They wear like iron, and fit much better than anything you can buy in Target. more

Customer Service is great! 10/19/2005

Since my son started walking I have been buying his shoes here. Yes, it's pricey but I really feel it is important to have shoes that fit well, especially since my son cannot tell me if they are uncomfortable. I also appreciate their honesty. I went in once thinking my son needed new shoes, that his old ones didn't fit. They measured him and told me his old shoes were fine, they could have very easily sold me a pair of shoes I didn't need, but they didn't. I have been there many times since, and they are always friendly. more
